We stayed at the Crystal City Hyatt during May 2008. It's in a huge masterplanned new urbanist-style city with lots of newer (less than 40 years old) skyscrapers in Arlington, called Crystal City. Its bordered by two other places like this, Pentagon City and National Gateway (which is being built). It's made up of mostly wide avenues and highways (this... More

I stayed at this hotel in May 2008 for a training seminar. It was a nice hotel. One "fancy" restaurant for dinner only, a bar area, a breakfast/lunch restaurant and a coffee shop and room service available. I used all the options for meals since I did not want to walk around Arlington by myself. I did expect to pay... More

I booked a business stay at this Hyatt after reviewing dozens of hotels in the Cyrstal City area. I can not tell you how dissappointing this booking turned out to be! The room was confirmed and payment in full requested the morning of that evening's check-in. A late check-in and 2 beds were noted on the confirmation. At arrival that... More

I am at the Hyatt right now for a conference. This is night three of three. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, and modern. My room is really small, dark, and very loud. I actually think mine is an acception and I should have requested a new room. In defense of the hotel, I suspect I am in the... More

We stayed here for a business trip, it is not really near anything, better to stay near crystal city drive where there are plenty of dining options. Small rooms, tastefully decorated. Very small bathrooms without room for shower door (or towel bars?), low water pressure. Unenthusiastic, minimally helpful concierge. Very overpriced food options. No free wi-fi not even in lobby.... I reserved my room online and had thought it would be a smoking room. When I arrived I found that none were available. Not a big thing but it would have been nice to know before hand as I would have just stayed somewhere. I was informed later by management that this is a non-smoking hotel. If I had known... More

After arriving at Reagan Airport and calling the hotel to send a shuttle, I waited 45 miuntes outside and watched three shuttles from the Holiday Inn, 2 from the Marriott, one from the Radisson, one from the Americanna Inn, and many more pass by, but no Hyatt shuttle. When it finally arrived, the guy picked us all up and then... More

The hotel was very lovely, with nice modern decor and upgraded electronics. The beds were amazing, although the pillows were too soft for my taste. The hotel has a coffee bar, two restaurants (one has a breakfast buffet), and a lobby bar. Breakfast buffet was not a bad deal since it included coffee, juice, and make your own omelettes. Meeting... I was there for a conference and wondered why it cost $289 per night and found out the Pope was also in the city - Oh well. The room I had was nicely appointed with a very masculine executive look with dark woods and muted colors. The service was good except that after three days they wouldn't give me a... More

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City for 2 nights in mid-April. Even though it was the height of Cherry Blossom season and the hotel was hosting a conference of librarians, I was able to get the government per diem rate - $200/night. I took the Metro from Reagan National to Crystal City where I caught the hotel shuttle.... More
