I had to be in the Washingon, DC area on business for my birthday, so I selected the Le Meridian in Arlington. I'm really glad I did! Check-in was quick and literally took under a minute to get my room key. When I arrived at my room I received a birthday surprise: I had been upgraded to a suite on... More

when we arrived, only 1 staff member there to do checkin, took over 30 mins! Unacceptable. Got to my room only to find out my room key didn't work. Lugged my bags back to reception, fix the keys, and go back, still didn't work! Maintenance comes..."sir, on 5th floor, 20 minute delay for key activation, we don't know why". How... More

Never quite gets there and bland in so many ways. Regularly under delivers, from wear and tear in the rooms and poor design so that I could hear voices through ventilation grille and really low shower water pressure, to awkward and drawn out interactions with staff... if you could understand what they were saying. Really unsatisfying when paying $400+ a... More

Had an absolutely phenomenal stay here, right in the heart of cherry blossom season. My normal hotel downtown / Dupont Circle was outrageously overpriced due to cherry blossom festival demand, forcing me to explore options elsewhere. So glad that I did- experienced the Meridien here in Arlington and had a great time. Quick, courteous check in. Spotless rooms. All across... More

Yes, it is peak tourist season in DC, but, well, I never.. Pros: - free bottle of water (be careful not to drink the $6 non-free bottle) - free premium internet (wasn't advertised so maybe this was for some special cherry blossom conference going on now) - bathrobe hanging waiting for you - wake up call worked as directed -... More like an office building with beds than a hotel. Rooms service takes for ever, they don't answer the phone usually, restaurant closed on sunday, no convenience store in hotel (they tell you to go to CVS a block away) Internet spotty--and I don't dare call the front dest as there is only one of them and it takes 10... Really glad to have discovered this hotel during my recent visit to DC. A very stylish and high value alternative to staying in DC itself yet only a short walk or Metro stop away. Front desk staff was extraordinarily friendly and professional-both at check-in and during the stay. The mgmt must make an effort with this aspect and it shows.... More

The front desk staff were very polite and friendly at check in and check out. We had drinks and dessert in the lounge one evening and our bartender/waiter was among the best we've had - friendly, out going. But now for the hotel. Nice but quirky. We were in room 1203, top floor at the end corner. The view was... More

I stayed here for a night in January. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very comfortable. It was easy to find parking because it was the weekend. The hotel is very close to Georgetown/DC.

The Pros: Loved Breakfast they really do reach with their a la carte menu. It is not the usual lineup, rather is is far more interesting and refined. The dishes sound delicious and the kitchen delivers. We didn't get to try the restaurant for dinner due to a busy schedule. Elegant fine dining for breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice,...
