Although this hotel is old, the rooms are clean and tidy and the staff go above and beyond to help. My reservation was for a small room which I did not like, so I talked to the Front Desk and they upgraded me to nicer, bigger room for just a few extra bucks. The shuttle service to the Metro is... Besides the location, nothing good about this hotel. Rooms are tiny and dirty, the heating system is old, noisy, very hard to regulate, after 5am or so a big bus with its engine on for *hours* in the parking lot just in front of all the rooms...Much better spend more and have a good night's sleep!

One day we have no toilets, and we have to go to the front desk to get some. Was their fault and we solved... Another day we don´t have a pillow, and later on our pillow just dissapeard. Nobody help us with our baggage, because on sunday they don´t have employees to do that... I really don´t want to come... More

First the positive: Room was clean, plenty of space for 1-2 people for very short stays. Fair variety of TV channels, some in Spanish. The Negative: Nowhere near the Metro. Shuttle to the Metro, but not to/from the airport. Walls are paper thin, easy to hear neighbor's TV and occasional outbursts of frustration -- he may have been talking with... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on August 25th since it was a Tier 2 hotel through Trip Rewards. I had enough points for a free stay and used them for this hotel. We're used to older more run-down hotels to save on trip costs and thought this hotel might be okay. The first incident of mention occurred... More

we- a mom and two daughters- spent 6 days in this hotel, choosing it because of it's low price and expecting that day's inn had to adhere to some standards of cleanliness and comodity. however, we found this to be untrue. the room was nicely decorated, but old and unclean- the carpet wasn't tacked down and there was an area... My first impressions were terrible - I was put in a tiny room which smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, despite asking for a non-smoking room. The room was small, and the bathroom was truly tiny and not too pleasant. I complained about the smell and was upgraded to a larger room which was better. Bathroom still wasn't great, but it... I stayed for 3 days in August 2004. The staff is ok friendly and the hotel is convenient, I'll give you that. But, if you want soundproofing, not to have people who make their permanent home next door, and no allergy aggrevation, I'd look somewhere else. The soundproofing is the worst, the other 2 I could sort-of live with. You... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and found the room to be fairly small (especially the bathroom, which was cramped but functional). However, it was clean and comfortable - no real complaints for the price when compared to standard Washington DC hotel rates. The front-desk staff were friendly, and the free/hourly shuttle to Rosslyn metro was handy (but necessary if... More

all i have to say is that this is THE WORST place i have ever stayed. the room i got at the promotional rate of $75/night looks nothing like the picture of the room with one double bed on the website. the bathroom, although clean, was TINY and the shower was literally a whole in the wall without lights. the...
