I found this gem online and glad I did. Mixed in with the highrises is a great Mom And Pop 1950's motel with tile bathrooms, balconies and very comfortable and clean beds. The Lobby is classic with its terrazo floor and glass walls. The elevator is original and is a bit small, but no worry. The room was very clean... More

The hotel staff, particularly Jason, has done a wonderful job answering all my questions and concerns about the hotel, its location, area transportation, and hotel facilities such as the laudry room. From phone conversations with him prior to my arrival, shuttle service pick-up at the airport, to my arrival and stay, Jason has been very kind and courtesy. This staff... More

I recently stayed at the Americana Hotel. While there I found the hotel to be convenient to the metro and very affordable while hotels close by was way out of my price range. The hotel is an older hotel but offers very clean, comfortable rooms that recently had upgrades on their beds, televisions, etc. The best part of my stay... More

While staying at the Americana Hotel I learned the hotel was built in the 50's. However, it is one of the cleanest and still contemporary hotels I have stayed at in the D.C. area. The staff is friendly and its location is very convenient. A metro stop is within walking distance and complimentary hotel shuttle service to and from the... More

This hotel is a five minute walk from the Crystal City metro and reasonable value. It has friendly staff, plenty of free parking and an ok breakfast (coffee and donuts). Our room had a tiny bed (barely big enough for two), tiny bathroom and fairly miserable view. We stayed for four nights and managed to sleep for three of them,... More

My sister & I stayed at the Americana for 4 nights. I had researched over 40 hotels in the Washington area and even 2 star hotels were over $200/night. The Americana is far less and even provides breakfast, coffee or tea all day, ultra comfortable beds and only two short blocks and a 10 minute Metro ride to DC. It... More

Hotel is old looking from the outside but don't let this put you off. Rooms are comfy clean and although bathrooms are small they are really clean and the towels are of a really good quality. Staff are very helpful and even let you use the Hotels Ipad. Breakfast was good, choice of cereals, porridge, bagels and donuts and muffins... More

After deciding to visit DC with our family trying to find an affordable hotel was impossible. I stumbled upon the Americana here and based on the reviews offered took the plunge. The price was wonderful, but I was still nervous. The photos looked very vintagy. When we arrived I was amazed at the updated lobby and happy with the rooms.... More
