We stayed in the Amherst Inn earlier this week (on 2 of the coldest days this winter) because my aunt had to go to traffic court and we wanted to be close to the courthouse. This is a small, cinder block style motel tucked away on Route 60, just off Route 29. Use the McDonald's on your right as a... More

Stayed overnight on a Thanksgiving trip to see family. We came in late and slept well. Very quiet room even when my loud diesel was warming up. Pleasant staff really clean room new amenities under 75 dollars for family of 4. Might stay there on the way back.

The location is right off from the highway.. the price for one night with taxes is $72. The staff was very friendly. We where here earlier then check-in time and they let us check in early, we had to get ready for a wedding. The outside looks out dated but the interior is quite nice. The rooms are small but... My wife and I had a four night stay at the Amherst Inn this past month. I read the reviews of this Inn on this website prior to booking the room and they were spot on. The rooms were small but clean and you can't beat parking right outside your door. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too. For... More

I needed a place for one night that was safe, clean and affordable. Amherst Inn met all those requirements. Nothing fancy but very clean with friendly front desk staff, couldn't ask for more in this price range.

My wife knows that paying too much for lodging can cause us to shorten the duration of our vacations and found us this little gem. Very pleasantly surprised by this "park-at-your-door" motel that has a few years on it. It is situated close to, but below the level of the US60, giving it pretty good sound isolation from any traffic... More

If you need a place to stay for a night or two in Amherst, Virginia and get good sleep, this is the place, at least it was for us in late July 2015. No pool or anything like that, but the price was very good. The beds and other furnishings were clean, neat, in good repair and simple, but good... More

We stayed here during a sightseeing trip of Schuyler, VA. We found the beds to be really comfortable. Rooms are small, but nice. The staff was very friendly. There is a McDonalds right across the street and a CVS very close. After leaving the hotel my husband discovered he had left his cell phone charger. The staff was very courteous... More

Dunno what hotel the one bad reveiw from 2011 stayed at, this place is great. Inexpensive, clean and good amenities. You could have bigger rooms if you want to pay twice the price or more. Ehy does this site want 200 words, is it an essay contest? Sorry gotta fill the rest of the space with these: a a a... More

This is an old-fashioned quiet motel, situated below the road so you don't hear any traffic. Since there is no sauna nor swimming pool, you won't have late-night crowds partying by your window. The room was comfortable and rather cool. Breakfast included very nice fresh clementines, bananas, mini cinnamon rolls etc. It's not a posh hotel, but the price is... More
