We attended our son's wedding and were delighted with the accommodations, friendly staff, and service we received. We 40 guests spend the weekend and everyone was charmed by the hotel and the staff. It is located .5 miles from the heart of Old Town but was close enough for everything we needed. The shuttle to/from the airport served us well.... More

I booked this hotel without knowing the exact location of nearby metro stations etc. If I were to book again, I would definately stay closer to King Street , Crystal City, or in DC. This hotel was nice, but the transportation options were limited. Walking to and from the Metro stations nearby is not an option- they are too far... More

Mediocre maid and shuttle service detracted from the enjoyment of our stay. I booked a “Potomac View” room for a week through the hotel web site. The experience began well. Because I had also signed up for the Priority Club, we were welcomed with a goodie bag which included a couple of snacks and a sleep kit (eye shades, ear... More

The front desk staff, manager, and their "policies" really turned me off. They said that "just b/c you have a reservation doesn't guarantee the type of room you will get." A friend and I had a reservation (made on THEIR website) for a room w/ 2 double beds. We got a room with only one king sized bed. AND we... More

I stayed here for three nights in early March 2010 while attending a business meeting at the Gaylord Convention Center across the river in Maryland (hotels in immediate area were sold out). The Crowne Plaza was a perfectly nice business hotel -- I had none of the problems that others have reported. Clean quiet rooms, nice beds, good buffet breakfast,... More

As part of a tour group almost at the end of a hectic 8 day tour, after some of the hotels we stayed at the Crowne at Alexandria was a very pleasant change. The room we had was spacious and the bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thank heavens for their in-house laundry... More

The Crowne Plaza in Old Town Alexandria is one of our favorite hotels to stay when we are in the Washington, DC, area. They offer a shuttle to the Reagan airport which is very helpful when touring the DC area. The hotel is very modern and up-to-date; it has several rooms with excellent views of the Potomac River. Room keys... More

The hotel and room itself were fine. My disappointment was basically two-fold. I called ahead to ask if they had a wireless adapter available so I could use my lap top and take advantange of the free Internet access. They assured me they had such a device, which I could get at the front desk. It turns out they only... More

First -The Good. Nice location, decent building and in a nice area. The room was fine. Now the Mediocre.:1. TWENTY BUCKS a night to park!!! Use the street outside. It's just as safe-there is no security in their parking lot and they take no responsibility anyway. 2. When we checked in, two of the elevators were not working- seems the... More
