We travel with two small, very active kids. It is awesome, although expensive, to be able to tuck them into bed in a separate room. It's also terrific to have a small kitchen and some room to spread out when we're on vacation, since the kids are in bed early, and my husband and I aren't. We're big fans of... More

This was only the second time I had stayed at a Residence Inn although I always stay at Marriott hotels. The hotel is in the perfect location for the local area of Old Town Alexandria. The room was great, clean, and full of amenities. I really enjoyed the two flat screen TVs, the separate bedroom. the comfortable recliner, and just... More

My stay at the residence inn marriott in alexandria old town Virginia was completely amazing. I come to washington dc every year and i have experienced several hotel chains/rooms and by far no one surpasses this hotel! Things that i appreciated was the secure parking garage, elevators, laundry rooms, and fitness room that are only accesible from room key. Your... More

I can only add my voice to all the positive reviews. We had a great stay and would return in a heartbeat. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed in where everybody I ran into would burst into spontaneous raves about how much they liked the hotel. It's near the Amtrak station and the Metro. Rooms are great value... More

This hotel was great. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. It was quiet and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this hotel.

We took long weekend trip to DC, and this hotel fit the bill perfectly! Close to the Metro, indoor pool for kids (a must for us travelling w/kids), pool is more like a lap pool, about 4 ft deep, so maybe not perfect for wee little ones without floatation assistance. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Manager reception in the evening (Mon-Thurs) nice... More

We had just joined marriott rewards abd booked this hotel based on trip advisor comments and the courtesy of the Marriott booking staff. It is a clean hotel in a great location and with a fantastic staff. We have stayed in Old Alexandria before and use it for our visits to DC. The metro is right there as is the... More

My fiance and I stayed here after spending an evening dining at Chart House in Old Town for Valentines Day. Despite a loud heating/AC system in the room that woke my fiance up multiple times during the night every time it kicked out, our stay was fine. It wasn't until the next morning around noon after we'd left the hotel... More

My wife & I and 2 kids (aged 7&8) stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and as the first time we went to DC. Alexandria was exactly what we like, a nice quietish town with a great high street and restaurants to enjoy at night-time after a long day exploring the city. Metro is only 5 mins walk away and is... Stayed at this hotel while sightseeing with relatives. Two blocks away from King St Metro..shuttle available to take you there and other places in Old Town. Helpful front desk personnel gave good directions. Excellent restaurant next door (La Porta) also provides room service. Whole Foods nearby. Breakfast included with many choices, hot and cold. Wished there had been a coffee... More
