The staff was friendly and helpful, the room comfortable, and the location extremely convenient. Though the parking garage is a bit hard to navigate, it's not really necessary as a free shuttle through the middle of Olde Town Alexandria stops right outside the door. I would certainly stay here again.

An evening in Old Town Alexandria close to the water with a pool sounded wonderful. So we paid the higher price for those features. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was convenient to the Metro and right on the free trolley line in Alexandria. The front desk personnel was helpful, breakfast was good and the room was very clean and well kept.

"Fitness Center" was a cramped, poorly ventilated, converted closet with no weights. We were so busy with sightseeing that this turned out not to be a big issue. Stayed one night here during a week-end trip. Very convenient and close to the Metro, which if you are using public transportation, is a huge plus. The Hampton Inn Old Town in Alexandria, VA is a great place to stay - great location, clean, quiet - and a good value! Stayed here on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. Close to the Metro, great walking/shopping area - safe and secure.
