We booked this hotel for a family trip to DC. The location is unbeatable because with three children, I didn't want to have to do any extra walking after getting off the metro. However, I might have put up with a little extra walking to stay in a nicer hotel. The staff at the front desk are pleasant enough but... more

We used to be hard-core Embassy Suites people. With three kids, it was one of the few that allowed us all to stay comfortably in one room. But they're getting old and, frankly, there are better deals out there these days. The rooms here seem a bit smaller than typical ES hotel rooms. Parking - even with the underground parking... more

I looked and looked for the right place to stay that was clean, comfortable, nice, affordable, walking distance to the metro and restaurants and had adequate space for my family of 5. We stayed for 4 nights to see DC. This location can't be beat. Across the street from Kings Station so we were just 20-25 minutes to go to... more

We stayed here for the first time over our kids Easter break as a base for touring DC. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was great (but be a little aware that the "buffet"portion wasn't put out until 7:30am while we were there - no big deal). The nighttime reception was fine... more

This hotel is convenient to the HQ for the non-profit I serve, so this is my second stay. The beds here are absolutely among the best I've ever slept in, which makes me laugh when I think of all the other hotel chains that promote their beds as heavenly, and they don't rate as nice as these. I love having... more

My wife and I stayed one night at the Embassy in April 2009 for our first trip to Alexandria Old Town. The hotel offered the usual Embassy Suite perks with a twist. There is some VA or Alexandria law that requires them to charge ($1 or $2/drink) for drinks during the Manager Reception that is typically free at Embassy's. Other... more

What a surprise! Excellent food at good prices and pleasant surroundings. We stayed 3 nights and found it easier and most enjoyable to return to hotel and eat at Dukes. It has to be said that Essian contributed greatly to that enjoyment - he was most pleasant and entertaining - our boys loved him! more

Just returned from 4 nights at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria Virginia April 12-16th. We chose the hotel because of its location near the metro and near Old Town Alexandria. There was also a Hilton across the street, but I was looking for a two room suite since we were traveling with two children. The area is very... more

I booked at this location based upon two things (location and pictures on internet). I called (at night) before I booked to see how far away the hotel was from Mt. Vernon because we had an early morning tour scheduled. I was told Mt. Vernon was approximately 20 min away. We arrived early evening, and we were told at check... more

The Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria was a great location for our Washington, DC trip. The King Street Metro Station is a short walk across the street. The cooked-to-order breakfast each morning got our sight-seeing days off to a super start. The evening manager receptions were great to unwind and relax before heading out to dinner. Everyone in our... more
