My husband and I stayed at the Alexandria Courtyard for one week on a business trip. The check in was good, the staff was friendly and helpful when asked. The location is walking distance to the metro so that was a plus. They offer a shuttle service at limited times for the guest to the metro and to old town... more

To start off, the receptionist couldn't find our reservation. When she finally found it, she said it was under my name the entire time. The receptionist was not friendly or informative. The room was just as bad. The light in the bathroom didn't work and the shower temperature was difficult to control. They told me when I made the reservation... more

I travel frequently. In the past two weeks I have stayed at four different hotels. Rarely do I post a review except in cases of extreme excellence of severe disappointment. Unfortunately, this is a case of severe disappointment. The hotel is located in an area of Alexandria that is unconducive to walking, yet the shuttle bus was never available as... more

Stayed here 3 nights for a conference; booked two rooms for myself and a coworker. The hotel and rooms were well maintained. Front desk service was top notch: they were very helpful and polite. The free shuttle service was an incredible asset for my colleague and I, as we did not have a car. It's about a two minute ride... more

Very pleasant stay with three generations in two connecting rooms. Internet met business needs, daughter used exercise room on top floor (with view), small grandchildren found food they liked at breakfast. Front desk very helpful with directions. Rates, for Washington area, were reasonable. more

Exactly what you'd expect. Nice size rooms, very clean, polite and professional staff. Also, the price is right and the location is great. more

Stayed here mid February, and the hotel was great. No flaws, clean room comfy bed. Everything that you would expect from Courtyard. Didn't eat the breakfast, it didn't seem like it was worth the price they were charging. Also, the front desk had cookies out, and OMG the chocolate chip cookies were probably the best I ever had. The must... more

Eight-story building sandwiched between the Capital Beltway (I-95, I-495) and Eisenhower Avenue. For those without a car, the hotel’s shuttle service on request will take you from and to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station (third Metro stop from R. Reagan Washington National Airport) and also into and from Old Town Alexandria. (The Yellow Metro train takes 20-25 minutes to stations... more

Our experience at this hotel echos many of the other positive comments. Friendly and knowledgable staff, prompt shuttle service to Old Town or Metro station, and warm cookies each week night. When we called to report a water running noise from the room above us, they offered us free buffet breakfasts! It's a great location to the DC area for... more

Pros - Nice staff, great shuttle service, clean room, and cookies at the front desk. Con - Traffic can be pretty noisy since the rooms face busy roads, there really isn't much close by to do or see but you can access anything and everything with Metro access, and the hotel is not really that close to the Metro station... more
