I guess if you are a repeat customer, you are a fan. My wife and I love the Afton Mountain B and B. Perfect location, beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms, really nice pool, delicious breakfast - do I need to go on? Nelson County is establishing itself as the place to be for wine. So many wineries to visit... More

We checked in on Friday afternoon and we're met by the owners. Upon arrival, they seemed nice and we were expecting the stay to be as was recommend. That changed when they told us not to look directly at or touch one of their dogs as he would take this as a sign of aggression and would respond. It made... More

We had a nice stay during our first ever visit to a B&B. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and add nice touches throughout. The cute little basket full of items you may have forgotten/run out of was a sweet touch, and in fact, I did need something that was in the basket, so I appreciated it! We visited the... More

Jim and I just wanted to "get away" ...no more than a 2 hour drive for us. We found the perfect location of the Afton Mountain B&B in Afton, VA . A BandB with a pool is a rarity and that is what I was looking for. Set between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shanendoah Valley with adirondack chairs... More

We stayed for two nights at the bed and breakfast at the end of May during a two week road trip. Fantastic place. The rooms are lovely and the house has a real front porch and a back porch with rocking chairs something we don't have in the UK. Breakfast was delicious on both days. We booked a brewery tour... The B& B looked great on the internet and it didn't disappoint. Easy to find and set in lovely grounds the house is delightfully furnished and the bedrooms individual and comfortable. It has a very homely feel to the place. We stayed two nights and went to the Blue Mountain Brewery for a meal the first evening which is only... More

Lovely, comfortable home with all the amenities; welcoming, always available, owners who have valuable recommendations for local eateries and hikes; large, well-groomed grounds for a walk; comfortable porches with rocking chairs; adirondack chairs on the grounds for cloud watching; and huge, healthy, delicious, homemade breakfast. We'll be back!

From the time that Orquida welcomed us to their 166 year old B & B until the time we left we had the perfect stay. Orquida welcomed us and showed us around the house, which is very pleasant. The house is spotlessly clean, and extraordinarily maintained given its age. Recommendations for restaurants were spot on, and suggestions for local attractions,... More

My wife & I reserved a room at Afton Mtn B&B because it was one of only several B&Bs we could find between the end of the Skyline Drive and the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and at the time it was the only B&B with a room available. We became immediately comfortable with our somewhat uninformed choice after... More

Orquida and Dan were wonderful hosts. They were so friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend and I love food. The two course breakfast each morning was the perfect start to our relaxing days. The inn is quiet and centrally located so its really easy to get wherever you want to go. The rooms are beautiful and really well maintained. The view... More
