I've stayed at the Hampton many times and have never had a bad experience.....which is why I choose to stay here even when I'm only in the area for the Creeper Trail. The cleanliness and friendly staff make the extra minutes drive to Damascus well worth it!!! more

I've stayed at the Comfort Inn in Abingdon and it was fine but a couple of nights ago, my sister and I stayed at the Hampton Inn and it was really nice. I'm all about comfortable beds and this one was fabulous. The pillows and the mattress were very nice. I don't usually like hotel coffee but this coffee (at... more

There were thirteen in our group and we booked seven rooms. I found that several of us were quoted a different rate ranging from $139-99 per night for a king/non smoking room. The checkin clerk was very personable and pleasant. We were allowed to check in early allowing us to visit the Highlands Festival going on in town. The room... more

I stayed here with my wife during the Memorial day weekend. It was a last minute reservation. I paid 109 bucks on Priceline- There are a few cheaper hotels, but I opted to pay more for a nice room vs cheap as the cheaper ones in abingdon have been nasty. I was pleased that the rooms were so nice- The... more

Spent two weeks at the hotel for business. This is not a luxurious hotel but is clean and well-kept. Rooms have flat screen tvs, fridge and microwave. There is a nice breakfast area in the lobby where three nice older ladies fix breakfast each morning - biscuits and gravy, sausage biscuits, eggs, etc. There is also plenty of cold cereal,... more

We stayed at this hotel the night of the 18th of January, 2008. We did not have prior reservations and got in after midnight. They gave us a great deal - $60 for the three of us. The desk clerk was pleasant and helpful, and we were in our room very quickly. The room was on the ground floor -... more

This family of four stayed there for one night in August 2007. Our room & bathroom were very clean and a nice size (we had 2 Q beds in the room). Noise from the highway was not an issue at all for us (3rd floor room, hotel only has 3 floors). Also, the free wi-fi was nice! The pool was... more

The downsides: 1. The hotel is in the midst of a renovation. The second day they placed plastic sheets over the windows so it was impossible to see out and I was anxious to look out since snow showers were predicted. This is the third Hampton I've stayed at in the midst of a renovation. There was some jackhammering going... more

What wonderful pillows, something I always pay attention to with my bad back. They offered soft and firm pillows as well as a great bed. It seemed like our room had recently been refurbished; it was very nice and had a large bathroom. Very quiet if you get a room away from the highway. The hotel is away from the... more

I have travelled to this hotel many many times on business trips. This time I decided to take my girl friend and book it on a weekend for the changing leaf colors and Mountain bike trip on the creeper trail. Susan and staff make this a homey little hotel with a great breakfast served by three elderly sisters. My only... more
