The Hill farm Inn was everything we hoped for. We booked it primarily for the on location farm animals to keep our 3 1/2 year old entertained. The private cabins are PERFECT for traveling with small children. It was so nice not to worry about disturbing the other guests when the baby started crying in the middle of the night.... more

My husband and I found the Hill Farm Inn on a Vermont B&B website. It seemed to have the best reviews, we loved its closeness to Manchester, and the animals seemed like a really great addition. We certainly were not disappointed! The breakfasts were substantial and tasty, the animals friendly and cute, and the suite (Battenkill) was exactly what we... more

What a great place to visit. The owners Lisa and Al couldn't have been nicer. They are perfect Inn Keepers. And, their friendliness spreads to all the guests . Loved all the farm animals . I was in Vermont for a painting workshop and I really want to return to the Inn to spend time painting right on the farm.... more

We had the most peaceful, relaxing time on our trip at the Hill Farm Inn! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel at home! The morning breakfast was outstanding. Try the blueberry pancakes!! Our room was very spacious, yet very cozy. There are several restaurants near by and plenty of... more

The inn was very charming and quiet...just what my sister and I needed for our birthday getaway. We stayed at Aunt Elsie's room, which was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the scones for breakfast...delicious! I thought that leaving some cookies and beverage in the dining area in the evenings for guests was a hospitable touch, too. Lisa, the innkeeper,... more

We chose this Inn because of the quiet setting. Many Inns are right off a main road, but this is set back off a smaller road, and it is very serene, noiseless and peaceful. We found the food excellent - I wish all Inns would have breakfasts (and snacks) like this one. Too often B&Bs skimp on breakfast or make... more

I would describe the cabin as "rustic primitive" Very small, and very clean. Their "petting animals included sheep, goats,a horse, and 2 potbellied pigs. Fun to watch children 's reactions. The resident felines were also friendly. The dining area was bright and airy. The menu offered several choices every day, and they were uniformily delicious. Our innkeepers were very friendly... more

Great food, outstanding scenery, close to shopping (Manchester, VT) and historical areas (Bennington, VT). My wife & I spent 2 nights at Hill Farm Inn but it wasn't long enough. There is much to see and do in the area. Lisa & Al Gray are wonderful and friendly hosts. I got to go fly fishing with guide Marty Oakland, while... more

We stayed in the inn's main house (there are also several separate guest cottages that looked nice from the outside). It's an 1830s farmhouse that could use an overhaul. I found myself imagining the place with fresh paint, leveled floors, updated bathrooms and new carpet, but perhaps that would only ruin its charm. While not a luxury getaway, the important... more
