Nice couple run an older motel. Nothing wrong with old...nicely maintained with modern amenities. Great breakfast nook...great personal service. Next time we're in the area we'll stay here again. We recently spent 3 nights here. Although older, the room was very clean, had wifi and refrigerator. The grounds were beautiful with lawn furniture well placed to enjoy the solitude. Stay one morning for a great breakfast served at a slight charge. We would definately stop again.

This was the final stay of our road trip. It was pouring when we arrived, so we couldn't go exploring for dinner. I spent a night here last winter and was very pleased with my accommodations. If one is looking for the quintessential colonial-style New England inn, this is not it. This place was recommended by a helpful lady from the Bennington Vt. Chamber of Commerce/welcome center. It was an old motel, but very clean and the room was large. The decor is not up to date. It is close to skiing and 20 minutes to Manchester and 15 minutes to Bennington. Parking is right outside the door (very convienient). Friendly owners. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. This is a old motel, but has been renovated and is very comfortable. The only negatives, and this is being picky, is the shower and sink in the bathroom were quite small.
