The couple that runs the hotel is very nice and welcoming but the hotel itself is terrible. Our room was very dusty. The mattress was falling apart. And sheets were smelly. The bathroom was rundown and the shower is a nightmare. We were very unlucky, in the room next to ours a couple spent all night screaming very loudly. We... More

Nice couple run an older motel. Nothing wrong with old...nicely maintained with modern amenities. Great breakfast nook...great personal service. Next time we're in the area we'll stay here again. Only thing that I didn't care for was the sporadic WI-FI...not that I needed it for business but I like to keep up with facebook and email while I'm out and... More

We recently spent 3 nights here. Although older, the room was very clean, had wifi and refrigerator. The grounds were beautiful with lawn furniture well placed to enjoy the solitude. Stay one morning for a great breakfast served at a slight charge. We would definately stop again.

This was the final stay of our road trip. It was pouring when we arrived, so we couldn't go exploring for dinner. But the innkeepers had an array of menus to look over in case it stopped raining, and delivery places in case it didn't. They were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast did not come with the room, but for... More

I spent a night here last winter and was very pleased with my accommodations. If one is looking for the quintessential colonial-style New England inn, this is not it. However, while it certainly was not luxurious, my room was very clean, the heat and hot water were plentiful, everything (TV, mini-refrigerator, and WIFI) worked well, and the owner was extremely... This place was recommended by a helpful lady from the Bennington Vt. Chamber of Commerce/welcome center. It was an old motel, but very clean and the room was large. There was a fridge and seating area in the room, had we been able to stay longer they would have come in very handy. There was also a pool, but again,... More

The decor is not up to date. It is close to skiing and 20 minutes to Manchester and 15 minutes to Bennington. Parking is right outside the door (very convienient). Friendly owners. Quiet and peaceful.Set in a beautiful valley. Lovely mountain and mountain road view out the back window. Water is hot and sheets are clean. Plenty of heat in... More

We've been staying here each summer for about 20 years. It is situated about halfway between Manchester and Bennington on the old road - Historic route 7A - just outside of the village of Arlington...a quiet location therefore. What attracts us back is the friendliness of the owners who look after us virtually as family. It is an older motel... More

The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. This is a old motel, but has been renovated and is very comfortable. The only negatives, and this is being picky, is the shower and sink in the bathroom were quite small. If that isn't a problem, and it shouldn't be, you can't beat this place for the price and convenience. It... More
