With some trepadation, we checked into the Arcady at the Sunderland Lodge, between Manchester Village and Arlington, Vermont. It had great reviews but appears to be an average motel on the exterior. All that changed after we were assigned our room. At the front desk, we were offered hot mulled cider which was wonderful. The room was very spacious with... more

Cozy Inn. Nice owners. Great breakfast. Has central heating so you can't control it, but they changed the temperature when we asked. more

The good: Excellent breakfast! See other reviews for details, but it is the best complimentary breakfast I have had anywhere. The host, Bert, was very accomodating. We were there for an event that ran earlier than his normal breakfast times, but he got breakfast going early just for us. The pizza: if you stay two nights get the "shopping package."... more

We had a party of two couples and one single and booked three rooms. It was just for one night to visit with family in the area and also do research. The room rates were very reasonable, rooms were clean (except for the dust inside the TV armoire) & comfortable. The breakfast was scrumptious. Fresh baked croissants, nut breads, fresh... more

A vintage motel completely, attractively and comfortably refurbished, offered as a B&B, with ample and delicious breakfasts, featuring (the two mornings I was there) perfectly finished and gently seasoned eggs, first as an omelette, then scrambled. Courtesy and friendly assistance are the hallmarks of the host/owner/chef, who is delighted when his guests are pleased with their accommodations, the facilities and... more

We spent 3 nights at Arcady last weekend. The room was a decent size and quite clean despite the fact we had a pet friendly room. We did not have any problem with the bathroom or the water pressure or the aircond, unlike some people whose reviews were here. The owner, Bert, is an excellent cook. The breakfast there was... more

I chose this place based from the reviews I read. When we arrived, I felt a little apprehensive because we were the only ones staying at this place. Bert is soooooo NICE and very friendly!!! The rooms are really nice. As soon as I entered the room,I felt at home. It's really cozy and has that warm atmosphere. Rooms are clean.... more

We stayed in room #3 for 2 nights during weekdays. The room was very clean and it looked exactly the same as the picture on the website, if not better. The owner Bert was extremely friendly and he gave all the personal attention we could ask for at a BB place. We felt right at home. In fact, we have... more

We stayed at the Arcady before skiing at Stratton mountain. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good mattress and clean linens. The stall shower was a bit subpar, with poor water pressure, but that was the only drawback to the room. In the morning we enjoyed a very fine breakfast (included in the price) featuring eggs, meat, fresh... more
