Our family of 3 spent a weekend here. We stayed in the Ira Allen Suite, but all of the rooms/suites are beautiful and spacious. The innkeepers, Kevin and Michael, are warm, welcoming, friendly and eager to help. Kevin's breakfasts were fantastic, and Michael's cookies were addictive. They own scenic property across the street with 2 hammocks and a tree swing.... More

The house is beautiful and historic, but with that come some issues with plumbing, electrics, size and privacy (very thin walls). To be fair, the plumbing problems were quickly remedied though and in an old house things will inevitably have their quirks. Room doors didn't lock from the outside, which at first we found a little weird, but it appears... More

Rarely do I give 5 stars, but the accommodations and hospitality of our hosts blew me away. The owners have overhauled the whole place. It's immaculately clean, tastefully restored (no doilies or china dolls in sight), with alluring books on the shelves, local art on the walls, and homemade cookies on the sideboard in the spacious shared living room (plus... Four of us spent 5 idyllic days relaxing at this charming bed and breakfast, taking in the view from its porch every afternoon, wandering the countryside each day, returning to our comfortable beds at night. The location is central, yet nestled as it is in rural Vermont, facing the Battenkill river, we felt we had stepped into a Grandma Moses... More

Thanks for a wonderful visit! Your inn feels like home - inviting and comfortable with the kind of ease that tempted me to cancel my plans and stay a few more days! You (Kevin and Michael) are charming, helpful hosts! Breakfast and cookies were downright heavenly, too! Thank you! This inn is a great choice for Vermont travelers!

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful B&B and truly loved everything about it. The old house has a very cozy atmosphere and both Kevin and Michael are very charming hosts. The delicious breakfasts including the maple flavored yogurth were a great start for the day. After our hikes, we looked forward to coming home for our afternoon treat (Michaels... More

My husband Cliff and I spent the night at the Ira Allen House while up in the area looking for a season ski rental. We have stayed in B&Bs before and so as it goes with B&B, one never knows what you are going get. We were pleasantly surprised by the coziness, cleanliness and warm hospitality. And as others have... I lovely stay at this charming B&B built by Ira and Ethan Allen! Wonderful hosts, beautiful inn, comfortable bed, and blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup in the morning - and the most delicious maple sweetened locally made yogurt.
