I took my wife skiing at Alta to celebrate her first time away from our one year old babies. Never stayed at the Peruvian and loved all of it. It's certainly rustic, but if you don't like rustic you're not a real skier in my book. Anyway, three meals included in the stay were all great. The coffee and hot... More

Unique place...unique people. It's all about the experience! Hardcore skiers/snowboarders sharing their adventures in this amazing old alpine lodge. Rooms are small, you share the bathroom and showers. Great quality breakfast, lunch and dinner sitting with other skiers , what makes this place a good place for meeting people that is there to have fun and love the snow. Bar... More

I am a frequent visitor to the Peruvian (for 20 years now) and the one thing that never changes (actually, us P-Dawgs campers are averse to change) is the people. Everyone is friendly -- most of the guests are repeat/frequent stayers -- and the staff is really great. The place is rustic, but you will be pampered in a country... More

As a long time guest at The Peruvian I am pleased to report that the kitchen is back to tops in Alta. Was there before Christmas to after New Years.... Yum Yum.... Staff is still the friendliest on the "hill." My slogan: If you want it, just ask! You'll get it!

Wonderfully Rustic , with a large lounge & free tea/coffee/hot chocolate all day. The bedrooms are fairly small , however that is immaterial as the skiing is so good. The everpresent ski shuttle was welcome , even though it was only a 500 metre walk to the lift The bar is lively with live music twice a week The outside... More

The Peruvian is a wonderful place to stay at Alta. It maintains the rustic charm of an old fashioned ski lodge. The service is warm and friendly and a real sense of unpretentiousness permeates the place. One can make new friends and always see old returning acquaintances. The meals are family style and there is plenty. The warm cookies freshly... More

Thoughts of the Peruvian always bring a smile to my face. It's an "Old School" soul of skiing kind of place, very historic. Rooms are small because you're only going to sleep in them, you're going to meet new people. Wonderful bar, out-door pool and hot-tub, and great meals. Large living rooms to hang out in and close to the... More

Heard incredible things about this historic lodge and experienced it all ourselves. The friendly staff, the amazing food and communal dining experience, the perfect location , the après ski perfect meet-up hot tub and the bar where locals flock. Met a ton of people from all over the world some on their 7th visit. Why would you stay anywhere else?

Utah has the best snow and Alta is the best of Utah. Warm, cozy, friendly and great food too. There are slopes for every level skier. You will steep and deep regularly or you can read in the lobby by the giant fireplace.
