If there is a better ski lodge in the US I have not found it. Simply put, the Peruvian has everything a skier would want, without unnecessary frills. Gorgeous setting, personable staff who are mostly real skiers, three good meals a day, and a wonderful lodge that oozes happy old school vibes. It doesn't get much better than an apres... More

I came here based on a friends recco, who said it is a bucket list for any true skier. He was spot on. Staff is very friendly, management very accommodating, and atmosphere is top notch. Skiing is like a brotherhood/sisterhood, and the open atmosphere and friendly vibe here is second to none. Family style eating with 3 square meals daily,... More

We wanted amazing skiing with no snowboarders, and we got it! The lodge staff are very nice and helpful, I loved the rustic feel, the fireplace in the sitting area and the communal dining area. The ski shops, gear rental and mountain are super close; walking to the base of the ski area is quick and easy! There is a... More

We are a couple who love to travel and try new things. One pending thing was go to a good place and learn to ski. This the best place to stay, it has all you need, from the kind people who work there that always try to make you comfortable and make your stay more enjoyable to all the lodge... More

Growing up on the East Coast...skiing is a combination of long lift lines, ice, rocks, and angry people. Alta has fast lines, great snow, minimal "hazards" and the friendliest folks on earth. To top it off, the rustic "chill" atmosphere of the Peruvian just makes it that much better. The accommodations are "no frills" and are still very comfortable and... More

The Alta Peruvian is one of my favorite places in the world. It is the perfect balance of feeling like you are on vacation and being at home. My family and I used to visit the Peruvian every Christmas for a week, for about 10 years in a row. The staff would treat us like family, and it is in... More

I stay at the Peruvian for eight days a month from December thru April. I have been skiing Alta and Snowbird for over 35 years! I don't have to explain to anyone about the best SNOW on earth! Which is here. Staying at the Peruvian is like going back to the 40's and 50's. No one is alone! If you... More

I have been going for years, this year was no exception. Male bonding is what its known for, though I have seen women bonding and family outings too. Serious skiing, serious fun. Nightlife is within the confines... That's all you need. Wake up, full breakfast. Hustle out and be right up front in the first lift. Ski in at 4,... More

This was my first stay at Alta Peruvian and it certainly will not be my last. I came across the resort via a Google search and the reason that I chose Alta was that 1.) They boast the largest snowfall in the region and 2.) No snowboarders means that you can enjoy pure and simple powder skiing to its fullest.... More
