Our family of 6 just returned from a fantastic stay at the Snowpine! This ski in/out Lodge is the best kept secret in Alta. The Lodge has several sitting areas, well appointed rooms, a beautiful dining area, hearty meals, and an attentive staff. We loved the Snowpine and will never stay anyplace else! More

My son and I had a fantastic time at Alta. The Snowpine added to the fun. We made "8's" in the slope from the lodge down to the Alta lift. The management and staff were super. They made a point of being helpful whenever we had questions. The family style dinners were great. We like meeting other skiers and hearing... More

This is the kind of place you will love if you want to ski, eat straightforward (but very high quality) food, meet cool people, and don't care much about luxury. Our room did not have a private bath, ie. It's an old-school kind of place designed to house people serious about skiing and chilling - this is not a luxury... More

I came back this morning from my second stay at Snowpine. My first trip to Alta was in 1986. That year we stayed Goldminder's Daughter. Since then we have stayed at the Peruvian, twice, and for many years rented condos and houses, including Sugarplum, Travis, Wilkinsen (now Brighton) & others. Last year (08/09), based on reco of my father who... More

Staff were very friendly, food good and plentiful, hot drinks continuously avaiable. The cookies post skiing were fantastic. Dining room looks right over the mountain and Alf's High Rustler run. Stayed in a smallish twin room with en suite, lots of hot water. The lodge caters for keen skiers, mainly male and around the 30/40 plus mark. Evening meals were... More

I come to Alta every January and have always stayed at Goldminer's Daughter. Snowpine Lodge was running an early season special that was too good to pass on so I booked space in the dormitory for myself and my 13-year-old son. Being used to a standard "hotel room" experience at Goldminer's Daughter, I didn't know what to expect of a... More

We made new friends and caught up with some old ski buds. I can't wait to get back and have a big plate of blueberry pancakes before heading to the tree runs off the Supreme chair, where the turns are SWEET! More

I stayed here with a friend of mine who just moved out to SLC about a week before our stay. We planned for a spring trip and as with normal Alta/Snowbird style, the weather cooperated. We got 12 inches on day 1, fresh tracks with blue skies on day 2, and another great spring day on day 3. While the... More

Several friends and I reluctantly checked in to the SPL based on the preference of one in the group. I say reluctantly, because (i) we weren't skiing the adjacent Alta mountain (2 of 4 are snowboarders so Alta was not an option), and (ii) "dorm" alone or paired with with "ski" is not a word any of us had used/considered... I went to Utah, alone, to ski. I looked at Snowpine and Peruvian and based on some local intel picked the Snowpine. I've traveled the whole world, literally, and have never felt more welcomed, at home, and well cared. The staff are great: friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The food was absolutely incredible! I really don't know how they do... More
