The Driskill is a great historic hotel. The hotel is in a great location and an easy walk to the state capitol and the 6th Street district as well as Congress Street. Austin is filled with great restaurants and the hotel can guide you to many of them that are all very close. The rooms here are on the smaller... more

The Driskell is a beautiful Victorian hotel, conveniently located downtown. The lobby is simply jaw dropping. The lounge, with its copper ceiling is phenomenal. The rooms are likewise very beautiful and comfortable. I hope to return to Austin someday and stay there once again. more

Had a similar experience to the previous reviewer... except we didn't get a great deal on Priceline! Paid over $300 a night for a most unpleasant experience. Pros: This Hotel looks cute/elegant but , that's it!!!!! Cons: Noisy, smelly, insecure and expensive rooms with confused bellmen and arrogant front desk staff. This place is OLD!!
