Older hotel - old world charm, but best in class service from the reception, bellmen, servers, and room service (used every night - great milk and chocolate chip cookies!) Great location to downtown events. More

The Driskill is in a great part of town, close to everything. The people working there were very friendly. The hotel definitely has a Texas feel. The rooms are on the small side. It's an older building. On our last night at the hotel the power went out from 1am until 815am. We were given glow sticks so we could... More

Tiny room. We got the giggles over the size, but we weren't there for the room. Shower size was amazing however.Nice staff. Very polite. More

I just returned from a trip to Austin for business where we stayed at the Driskill. the Location is perfect and the hotel itself, beautiful. What really sets this hotel apart from others is the INCREDIBLE service we received while there. From accomodating room change requests, to running a quick errand, every staff member I came in contact with was... More

The Driskill is a beautiful historical building that has a lot of character. In other words, it is an old building. We spent only one night and our main problem with the stay was the temperature in the room. Our thermostat was not working consistently. When we called engineering, the air that was blowing was warm. The minute he left,... More

While hanging out in Austin during the Arts Festival, my husband decided to book a room at the Driskill. Since I have a thing for "Nice Hotels" I thought why not? The location of the Hotel is perfect for exploring Austin. Service and Staff were impeccable. The room, though a bit small was cozy, comfortable and quite gorgeous! (ESPECIALLY the... More

We stayed in the newer “tower” in a room with a “city view.” Though we faced some high rise office buildings directly opposite us, we still got a fairly good view of 6th Street and some of the old downtown buildings. The room was nicely furnished. It wasn’t spacious, but it wasn’t cramped for three people (parents and sixteen-year-old daughter).... More

This was a get away after the holiday busy season for my wife and I and the Driskall lived up to the billing. As they say, location, location, location. Right in the middle of downtown on 6th st where you can walk anywhere and walk we did. Walk to the Capitol or to a restaurant or to a bar or... More
