When in Austin, a must stay. We stayed for only three days, but enjoyed ourselves immensely. Historic hotel, great design features, a wide choice of typically Texas cuisine and perfectly located. We will be back again and again.

We recently stayed and The Driskill in Austin. What a beautiful old hotel, but the rooms and corridors really need to be refurbished. The restaurant in the lobby is nice for breakfast and the bar is a great gathering space. But sadly lacking is the maintenance and condition of the rooms and corridors. The rooms are musty, poorly furnished, and... More

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights during our first visit to Austin. The hotel has been beautifully preserved and is well presented. All staff members were very helpful and respectful as you would expect and we found the concierge particularly good being as this was our first visit to Texas and Austin. Our room was a vintage room,... More

We visited the Driskill on a very busy weekend. The location is very convenient to 6th street and all local bars. The hotel is vintage so with that our vintage King bed room had the smallest bathroom ever. One sink and a tub with half a glass door with a cheap shower curtain to block the water. So overall the... The Driskill is a living piece of Texas history. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful few days of fun in downtown Austin while relaxing in luxury. The bar and dining were fantastic. It is definitely a place to experience if you can.

I'm pleased to say that not only is this a beautiful hotel in a very happening neighbourhood, it's service is exceptional. They were attentive and met all of our expectations... Hot water delivered to our room for tea and a troublesome toilet addressed immediately! Highly recommended.

Beautiful, historic hotel in the best location in Austin. The entire staff was friendly and smiling and so pleasant. The young lady, Ada, that checked us in asked why we were visiting so we let her know we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We settled in, went to the fabulous bar for a drink and snack, then to the 1886... More

Staying at this hotel makes you feel like you're friends with an oil tycoon. Everything is fancy, beautiful, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient and not overbearing about it like at some hotels. It's not snobby like some of the high end hotels I've stayed at. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever... More

The Driskill was built in 1886 and the conveniences are modern. Neat place with loads of history and centered downtown close to everything. The ceilings are high, rooms spacious, walls thick, crafted as they were and should be today. The staff is polite, helpful, and greet you with a smile. They seem to love their job.

We are glad we finally got the opportunity to stay at The Driskill! The hotel has always been booked during our past visits to Austin. The hotel is architecturally beautiful with all the modern amenities. We had 4 rooms reserved for our family and the hotel was great about keeping our rooms close together. We had a king room that...
