Ok place. Service at front desk and valet was lacking. Room was nice but small. Public areas were pretty. Had to walk through Bar area to get to the elevator to our Room. Parking was a rip off. Would not stay here again. So many other choices in downtown. Traffic in austin is terrible.

My husband brought me to Austin for my birthday and he booked 3 nights at the Driskill. Neither one of us had ever been to Austin and didn't know much about it, let alone the Driskill. After we saw several walking tours stop by the hotel, I decided to read about it on Wikipedia and was delighted to learn of... More

We only had one night in Austin and were lucky to get a room here. The Hotel has so much atmosphere and it is right on 6th St for the music so superb location. Very comfy bed and very clean. The room was a little small but adequate for one night stop. Breakfast was good, we opted for the Continental... More

I really enjoyed staying at the Driskell. We gad the King balcony room.it wasn't too small or too large but just right. The design of the place is beautiful. I also visit the bar and the Cafe. Both were also GOOD. Customer service was great. We are looking forward to visit there again soon.

I cannot praise the service at the Driskill enough. Everyone who worked there was friendly and courteous. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is beautiful. The architecture inside and out is incredible and elegant. Gorgeous marble and stained glass. I loved the artwork throughout the hotel as well. The food in... More

My fiancé was invited to attend a business function/vacation weekend in Austin Texas, we were part of a group of 30+ people. We arrived at the hotel mid Thursday afternoon and my first impression was that the building itself was exquisite, beautiful marble stain glass and crystal chandeliers. Check in was easy and painless, the front desk staff was extremely... More

This was our second stay at the beautiful Driskill Hotel, located in the heart of the downtown night life. The building was built in 1886 and is kept in pristine condition. Our corner room was spacious, quiet, had a great bed and all the employees were true professionals from valet to room service. Don't miss the bar as it looks... More

My wife and I recently had a stay planned with the Driskill Hotel for a special occasion. We arrived to the hotel to realize there had been a mix-up with our reservation. The manager immediately took responsibility for what had happened and then got right to work correcting the problem. It's not often that you become a bigger fan of... More

The Driskill represents a slice of historic Texas. It was so nice to stay in a hotel where the rooms had character rather than the standard rectangle big box hotel room. Don't miss the chance to eat in the restaurant. The food is excellent and was one of the best meals I ate in Austin. I will definitely be back!
