This was my first and last time staying here. The motel is old, run-down, and noisy from constant traffic. My room was okay, fairly clean, and on the 2nd floor which I prefer. The bed was pretty comfortable. The channel selection on TV was pretty good. The price was decent this close to downtown Austin but not for the quality... More

Unprofessional front desk staff, dirty and dingy room, depressing courtyard, uncomfortable beds, mildew and hair in the bathroom, room smelled of the old smoking motel room days... upside, it was only for one night!

Got to room and it had never been cleaned...TV was still on, bath towels laying around, bed unmade. Had to wait almost 2 hours--no urgency to get it cleaned. Others checking in had issues. Obviously terrible management.

I stayed here because I mistakenly thought it was the closest La Quinta hotel to the airport. It's not, but it is not far - really a quite easy drive. However, this was not a comfortable place. The carpet was stained and dirty. There were no blankets in the room, and the night I was there was quite chilly. I... More

This hotel is NOT a 5-10 minute walk to South Congress St. as we were told. The beds were comfortable and clean. Rooms were ok but noise from walkway is easily heard. Maintenance was lacking on door and shower faucets. Wake up calls were unreliable. Would not stay here again.

This is an older La Quinta, but that was fine as I was looking for an economy stay for a single evening. It is excellently located for visitors coming from the east (Houston, etc.) as it is a short distance north of the Hwy 71 intersection with I 35, and I 35 provides an easy route into downtown even during... Property is older, but kept well. Sleeping room area is quite comfortable but bathtubs/toilets are in need of good caulking & tile repair. Near a high school so depending on the time of day, you'll see a lot of teenagers walking through side parking lot.

Excellent hotel. Good quality at cheap price. Rooms are clean, nice and very comfortable. Breakfast is not as great, but does the job. It's well connected to downtown. Next to the hotel you can take bus number 7 which will take you downtown.

Went to Austin on a last minute trip for V-day. Wanted something close to downtown and this was the only available room. Outside is the old style and needs painting. Needs updating and modernization. Had the "old" smell thru out hallways and rooms. The carpet is needing some updating or replacing.

Not a bad place if your not looking for frills, It was close to the convention center. plenty of places to eat close by, Grocery store not too far away. right off IH 35. easy on , easy off. "This is to make it at least 200 characters."
