The service at the Oltorf La Quinta was good. All staff was helpful and efficient. The Inn itself was a bit dated and although a refrigerator and microwave was expected in the room, it wasn't there. Seemed like an Inn frequented by out of town labor forces more

If you stay at the La Quinta, Oltorf, lower your expectations before you go. Desk clerks were friendly and efficient, but that pretty much exhausted the charm of the place. Room was spartan. "One bed" means a double, not queen, as was once the practice. Room was in poor mechanical shape--torn curtain, closet doors that wouldn't close, loose commode seat,... more

The room was clean , The tv worked , The alarm clock worked , The pool was clean , The landscaping and grounds were well maintained, I was not awakened by unruly guests in the middle of the night. The hotel is in reasonable proximity to the entertainment district. Hats off to "Sandy" the desk clerk who was polite, well... more

This hotel was ok but there was trash everywhere outside and was a very old hotel and I think if that was taken care of the hotel would be great. more

La Quinta properties in Texas are of varying quality -- some are new, show piece properties, while others are old and tired. Unfortunately, the Oltdorf location falls into the second camp. It was therefore not surprising that I "won" this hotel on a 2-star $35 bid on priceline. At that price, it's more than an acceptable place to rest your... more

Prices weren't any better than many other hotels in Austin (roughly $80 when we stayed). People outside and in neighboring rooms are loud throughout the entire night. Very hard to sleep. more

We agree with the previous reviews. Here is what we saw; 1) Homeless people all around the hotel, sitting in the grass, begging in the trafic, Just generally hanging around the place. Not the hotel's fault I know, but it gives the area a bad feel. 2) Wireless Internet did not work, after calling the help desk and changing all... more

Homeless people wandered in front of hotel property. Three police cars showed up in front of room. Check-in was very slow and disorganized. Room was dirty and smelled moldly. We were supposed to stay 3 nights, stayed one. more

My daughter's boyfriend was staying here with a construction crew and we made the trip to Austin to visit him. His crew had left ,but he decided to stay one more day at his own expense. We waited for about an hour in his room for ours to be ready. While waiting, a family walked into his room with a... more

I paid $59 per night to stay there, and I was expecting a bit of a dumpy place. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean, and everything was great! Also, it is very close to all the action in Austin so you cannot go wrong staying there. After all, you only want a place to rest when... more
