Great location close to all the restaurants, bars and businesses. Rooms are clean and roomy and staff is great. Attached on the other side is Marriott Courtyard which is odd to have essentially two hotels at the same building. I always choose Residence because it is roomier and free breakfast. Another perk is there is a Starbucks in the hotel.... More

In town for the Moto GP race weekend, and although we have stayed at the adjoining Courtyard in the past, we chose the Residence primarily for the suite style room with kitchen facilities. We had a queen one bedroom suite in the third floor overlooking the entrance driveway. Normally I would have not thought this a desirable location, but the... More

My wife and I started our Texas vacation here 3 nights at the end of March and had a great trip. Both this property and the attached Courtyard were full with travellers and sports teams, but you never got that impression. Easy check in, helpful staff. We took a cab from the airport $30 and then rented a car at... More

We stayed at the Residence Inn for a meeting. This was our first stay at a RI and we were pleasantly surprised. Getting there right now can be tricky with all the construction. We valeted our car but it cost us $30 for the weekend. Might park myself next time. The hotel is nice, clean. The room was great. Nice... More

Check in was hassle free - and I was early. I found all the staff I encountered to be notably friendly and when needed, very helpful. Service was great at all levels and i stayed 4 days. I had no difficulties with noise but I did notice the day after check in that posters had appeared in the reception areas... More

This hotel is combined with a Marriott Courtyard and I reserved a 2 bedroom because I was travelling with a buddy of mine. I got to the hotel at 6:15pm and there was a line to check in and only 1 girl working. She looked up and told us we could go check in on the Courtyard side because they... More

This place was incredibly noisy at night. You could hear every door open and close on the floor, and the noise from the street was dreadful. The staff were friendly, and the continental breakfast was tasty.

This hotel was recently renovated and is attached to the Marriott Hotel as well. They share a common area and dining facility. I thought the room was nicely decorated and it was a plus that our room had a full fridge, sink, and kitchen area. It was nice to just park and walk to the convention center across the road... More

Kager727, Thank you for taking time to share your experience during you recent visit to Austin. I am pleased our, larger than normal downtown, rooms and service were a perfect fit for you needs. We did look into the rattle of the closet and were able to tighten a up the rails so the rattle would be eliminated. Thank you... More

Had a recent conference in Austin, and as a Marriott elite member I try to stay on property. I've grown disappointed with Courtyard's.... though they are supposed to cater to the business traveler, I just don't get that feeling anymore with lack of complimentary services for frequent guests. This time around I chose the Residence Inn (which is connected to... More

Austin is for walking. This gem is located within walking distance of, um, …er, …every neighborhood worth walking to. The hotel is just plain comfortable. It is clean, spacious, genuine, and they feed you breakfast, too. We came for the weekend out of the frigid Midwestern air to listen to music. This was a good idea. I chose Marriott because... More
