This one doesn't seem to use Expedia or Orbitz, so you may miss it, but it's a great price and reasonable accommodations. The breakfast is well-done, and the internet access is quite convenient and fast too.

I've stayed at this hotel once better and the room was not TERRIBLE, but had a few minor problems. When I arrived it was late. My kids are 3 and 5 and the air conditioning cover was off with exposed wires, toilet had mold and ran every five minutes, the balony had TRASH all over it, and most of the... More

The front desk staff was very nice. With that said, the place is a dump and needs some real love. We stayed here years ago, it was lovely but it has gone downhill. Holes in the walls, dirty and dingy towels in the bathroom, holes in the bedding, missing lightbulbs in the bath and ceiling fan and the swimming pool... More

My family chose the Mountain Star Lodge in Austin, Texas for our reunion, June 2014. The hotel is quite pleasant and we had a great reunion arranged by my cousin who lives in Austin. Unfortunately I left three tank tops worth about $85.00 in one of the drawers. My failure. When I returned home and discovered the loss, I called... More

Convenient Lakeway location for a family event. The front desk staff allowed us an early check in time. Our room was spacious, adequate, beds are hard, coffee was available in the room, unable to access wifi in room, breakfast was a step above continental.

This is a good hotel for the money. Not fancy, not elite. We reserved one of the suites and it was very nice. Great view of the canyon from the patio. There are several stores for necessities in the area. Staff was friendly

My family stayed at the Mountain Star Lodge in Austin for a wedding in April. It was not a chain hotel so we did not expect it. The Front Desk was superb. They were professional, on hand throughout our long weekend whenever we had a question, assisted with driving directions, provided additional towels as needed, knew us by name, and... More

We were charged $113 per night (including tax). The night shift manager was always very helpful and solved the couple of things we asked for help with. Some of the towels were torn and had holes in them. Small pill type bugs found on the bathroom floor, most of which were dead. The bed was comfortable and we had a... More

The location in the hill country is great, and the prices compared to the bed and breakfasts and resorts nearby are cheap....but in this case unfortuately you get what you pay for. The decor is terrible, half the lights didn't work, one was visably pulled out of the cieling exposing wires, the ac worked but was REALLY hard to figure... More

We just needed a place to crash after a wedding nearby. There aren't many lodging choices in this particular area and I hate driving in Austin traffic so we settled for this hotel. While not a chain hotel it reminded me of a mid to lower level chain. They were stingy with the towels which were barely thicker than a... More
