Went here during spring break for a baseball tournament and could not be more dissatisfied the staff is negligible and lazy and couldn't provide basic knowledge like whether or not the pool was open. The vending and ice machines are old and dirty looking. Also, the shower head in our room was broken and only sent out a tiny stream... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!! This was not my choice this hotel was chosen by Hotwire.com. I was in Austin for a basketball championship March 2014. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. My family and I were in room 118 first off the hotel is too far from the city center, secondly the room had falling fixtures,... More

Do NOT stay here! We were in room 218 - upstairs, end of the building. There was NO light on the landing so couldn't even see our room. There were 3 people checking in - 2 sets of towels (a host at the office should have asked and provided an extra set). No TV (What?). No Elevator to second floor.... More

Stayed here for a wedding. After checking into room we noticed meldew in the bathroon. The baseboards were rotting off. The room smelled of bad food. The shower pipes were louder than the TV and no water pressure. The next morning there was no hot water. Do not stay here.

This hotel is in an area of Austin that has really grown in the last few years with new housing, restaurants and retail outlets. However, this hotel must of been built before all this happened and has not been kept up. In my opinion, it is in a run down condition with maintenance performed only when absolutely necessary. We were... More

Like in most hotels in the US, the breakfast could be improved substantially. I found the hotel quite clean and the service at the fornt desk was great. However, I found the prices a bit expensive for what they have to offer.

Each Thanksgiving my family and I go back to Mountain Star Lodge and Hotel in Austin. We find it very comfortable and the people working are very nice. We are there for three or four days and I wouldn't stay any place else. The people working are very nice to us and make us feel at home. I called this... More

Do NOT ever stay here! My bridal party and I stayed here the night before my wedding and they could not have cared less. There was some minor confusion with payment and the manger threatened to take us (i.e. me- the bride) to court. She could not have been ruder or more demeaning. Additionally, we found a dirty rag in... More

Stayed here with some friends for a Girls Weekend and it was awesome. Staff was wonderful and the free breakfast was super. Hot food deluxe!!! We stayed on the 2nd floor in the back and it was really quiet. Didn't get to experience the pool but it l;ooked really nice. Next time, I will bring my hubby for a nice... More

Thank goodness I only stayed there one night!! This hotel/lodge was deplorable!! Extremely filthy and wornout, not worth the almost $150/night. The room smelled musty with lots of marks on the walls and furniture. The sheets for the bed were threadbare and the velour blanket had holes and was burned in patches by what I'm guessing was an iron?!?! When... More
