While not super fancy this Hampton Inn is quite nice. There is even an outdoor pool. Plenty of good restaurants around, too. Skip the nearby chains! Room very clean, large and comfortable. Typical Hampton breakfast--but better than not having one at all. Fresh fruit would be a welcome addition. Enjoy-great value.

Came up for long weekend with souse -- hotel is very nice (rooms large, bathrooms nice, beds comfortable) and centrally located to all the key locations (6th street, etc.) within walking distance. In fact 5/7 very nice restauruants within 30 seconds to 1-minute walk (PF Changs, etc.). Staff friendly and breakfast is your standard HI&S fare -- so nothing fancy... More

I just completed a survey hampton inn sent me and i truly gave it all 9 and 10 star ratings in all areas. this hotel is centrally located to 2nd street shopping/restaurants and 4th street entertainment. it is also convenient to i-35 and you face the 4 season a block down the street when you walk out the front door... Excellent location downtown Austin. Blocks from the "famous 6th Street" with live music and lots of action! Blocks from the Congress Avenue bridge where you can "watch the bats come out!" Millions of bats live underneath the Congress Avenue bridge and it's a sight to see. Conveniently located to lots of restaurants and entertainment. A few blocks over from the... More

Facilities, staff and location were all excellent. Decent breakfast and nice complimentary happy hour on weekdays. Enjoyed our stay and will return.

Parking is $23.00 per day, but other than that everything is included. There was free high speed internet, coffee maker, refrigerator and ironing board. This hotel is in the heart of the city and within walking distance of most of the night life. I had a King suite which was a very large room and very comfortable. There was a... More

There is a French crepe restaurant on the corner tres magnifique! Eat there, as the complimentary breakfast was rather lacking. The rooms were huge and bed comfy. The valet parking service was incredibly polite and efficient. Being a down town hotel means that you are subjected to police sirens at all hours of the night. It is across from the... More

We were only in Austin two nights so it was important to be close to all we might need especially Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre. We came for a Tedeschi/Trucks Band concert and had a half mile walk. Free breakfast was important too. Hampton Inn didn't disappoint there! Simple, lots to choose from. Hot & cold items... More

Hotel was well located, only a few blocks walk to 6th Street. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, porters and staff very helpful. Valet parking was expensive ($23 + tip). Breakfast was included, but we over slept and missed. Check finishing time as we found the end of breakfast was too early considering we had stayed out to enjoy the... More

Location is important when planning a trip and this hotel was in the perfect spot. A few easy blocks away from the night life on 6th street, go up a little more and you come to the Capitol, then the University. Go across the river and down to South Congress shopping or make a right after the river on Barton... More
