Stayed here for two nights and it was perfectly located for 6th St (couple of mins walking) while also far enough to avoid the noise should you wish. It's a nice hotel with good rooms/bathrooms, free wifi. Parking was expensive so we opted to park for free on the street as it was the weekend. There's a cheap lot next... More

After leaving another hotel to find a better one, we came across the Hampton Inn in Downtown Austin. It was exactly what we were hoping for: nice rooms with comfortable beds, flat screen TV, updated and clean bathroom, and in a great location. They also offer free breakfast. The staff was really nice and we loved being right in downtown... More

I treated myself to a solo vacation as a graduation gift for myself. I had never been to Austin before, so I was a little nervous. I used to work at a Hampton Inn so I knew what to expect. Breakfast of course was dependable... the room was comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better location, especially since I... More

We stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip to Austin. Their rooms were clean and spacious, they had a free breakfast and free happy hour. This was everything we needed to make our stay away from home more relaxing. Excellent location close to convention center, Sixth Street and other down town attractions.

There are two great reason to stay at this Hampton - - LOCATION and FREE INTERNET! Just two blocks from the convention center, quick walk to 6th street action, across the street from 5 great restaurants and just around the corner from others. Does have a free breakfast in the morning and a happy hour in the afternoon. Breakfast is... More

My husband and I had booked two rooms since we were going to be in Austin, TX for our son's graduation from law school. Unfortunately, our flight to Austin was cancelled at the last minute. I called the hotel at about 7:00 PM to tell them the news. They were nice enough not to charge us for canceling at the... More

I got an excellent deal for my stay (almost 40% off) but I will try to not let that bias my review. The location was walking distance to the crazy Austin night life and to the airport transit bus (for about a $1 one way, if I recall correctly). The staff, specifically one of the front desk guys (tall and... More

This hotel is more concerned with 8 dollars than keeping a business customer who frequents hampton hotels. Their website caused problems sending the reservation to a service that hinders customers to make reservations. The assistant manager would rather lose a night stay than 8 dollars to satisfy a customer who took the time they had a problem with their reservation... More

My boyfriend and I went to Austin for our first time this weekend. We read reviews that recommended staying near 6th Street in the downtown area and thought this would be a good choice. Hamptons are usually clean and well priced. The hotel itself was perfectly fine. It is actually very pretty on the outside, in a good location (if... More

We had a great short stay in Austin for 2 nights!!! Pros - Location very close to 6th street and Congress Bridge Bats (though they were a disappointment, but that is a whole other review!!), Great free snacks and drinks at managers reception, clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, swimming facilities, friendly helpful staff. Cons - Thin walls - Don't even... More
