We stayed in this hotel for 4 days while visiting Austin for the first time (Oct 2011). The hotel is standard enough. We had a king facing the street, 9th floor, so we had some view. The bed was comfortable (although the sheets were scratchy) but the pillows are little squares and a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. The a/c... More

Great location within walking distance of a variety of restaurants. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Workout area small and cramped. Breakfast is ok and standard fare. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Housekeeping staff is great. Parking is valet and 23.00 per day. Nice place, a little over priced for type of accommodations.

The room was a good size, the shower was hot, the english muffins were stale. The breakfast bar includes a proper way to make tea without coffee infused water. The location of this hotel was great, I could walk to the evening events and the convention center. This was just a quick overnight trip, so that's about all I saw... More

I was attending a conference at the nearby Auston Convention Center and stayed at this hotel. The location was great (as it was a 2 block walk to the Conference), the Front Desk people very friendly, and the guest laundry facilities were a great surprise in the midst of two weeks on the road. I did, however, have challenges with... More

This hotel was okay based on the location. It was slightly more expensive than other Hampton Inn and parking at hotel was also very expensive. I would not be back due to the expensive parking fee and for the price I was paying, I could go to somewhere better. Also if you like to swim, this hotel is not for... More

We stayed at this hotel for a recent football weekend. The Hotel was terrific and I highly recommend it. As a rule when the front desk reception is very friendly that it tends to follow through for the rest of your experience. This was definitely the case. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, helpful and courteous. The bed was probably... More

An unexpected treat, this HI&S does not feel like a moderate chain hotel. The first experience we had was the valet--these guys instantly made me feel like a special guest. They upgraded us to a suite--great room, bed, view--and informed us of complimentary happy hour (perfect fwith a great view and unwind before dinner on the balcony) and free breakfast,... More

Our daughter had moved to Austin over a year ago. This was the first time that we have had a chance to visit her. She suggested that we stay downtown. She suggested the Sheraton but reviews here and on Hotels.com sent me to the Hampton Inn, downtown. Driving our rental car from the airport, it was easy to find. The... More

The Hampton Inn was .. nice. The hotel is in a convenient location downtown. It is walking distance to the convention center (and the bats) and a short car ride to other central city destinations. Easy to get to off of !-35. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was well sized and clean. The view was to the... More
