Simple and no frills, but for $57 total for a clean room with two beds, you can't beat it. I just needed a last-minute hotel in Austin, and this place worked out perfectly. It's also very centrally located.

Motel 6 at I 35 N & 183. In for 3 nights for F1 race: 10/30 to 11/2. Paid $200 w/tax. For F1 weekend, this is awesome price! 2nd floor room; I would go that route. Clean, good water pressure; small desk with 2 chairs; flat screen; not HD. I've been in other M-6 rooms that have small cubby holes... More

Staff is very nice but the motel is not so much. Seems pretty decent during the day but at night it because pretty seedy and lots of random walkers throughout the property. Room was somewhat clean. Smoke burns on the sheets, found an ant in bed, hair in bathroom, paint job not finished, loud from the highway. Shortage of pillows... More

I stay at Motel 6 from time to time when all I need is a place to sleep and don't want to spend money on extras that I won't need. This was one of those nights - arriving around 1:00am, had to get up around 5:45am - just wanted to crash for a few hours. This motel provided an average... More

The first deal breaker was the smoky smell of our non-smoking room - it wasn't evident at first so I'm guessing there's bad vents or something. The second deal breaker was crap wireless internet - it worked fine until someone else signed on using the same (one-day) code and sometimes it seemed it dropped you just because. I had to... More

I was just passing through for a night and needed a place to plop down for a few hours before a very early flight the next morning. I normally stay at budget motels like Motel 6 because I'm not picky and prefer to save a few bucks, especially in a case like this. When I checked in, I was not... More

The location is very sketchy, homeless people all over. The rooms were so dirty. I was forced to stay my entire 2 nights for lack of availability elsewhere otherwise I would have left. . I had to clean my own floors!!! Hairs and crumbs everywhere!!! My non smoking room had burn holes in the blankets and everything smelled like smoke.... More

First of all I never write reviews. I flew into Austin from California and needed a room for the night. I checked with priceline. It seemed like a reasonable deal. I have stayed at several Motel 6 before. When I arrived I already had a very bad feeling. This motel is very sketchy and scary. I didn't feel safe staying... More

My husband and I were in town for the March Madness games at UT. The location of the hotel is a little confusing for out-of-towners when approaching from the south (you have to go past the hotel and back around, 35 is quite the freeway) but once you get used to it, it's no problem. The rooms were clean and... More
