Its not fancy, but the rooms are good sized with lots of storage, they provide hangers (which most hotels don't), they are very clean and somewhat equipped for long stays, and the bed was very comfortable (more than any hotel I've stayed in recently). There are flat screen TVs in the living and bedrooms. You can hear water in the... More

My wife and I spent one night here this past week-end were very impressed with the large room, with sofa, spotless small fully equipped kitchen, and granite counter tops in the kitchen and bath. The 37" lcd tv was mounted and could be adjusted to face either the bed or the sofa. The room and furnishings were spotless. We were... More

We reserved a 2-bedroom "suite" for 3 nights and checked out after only 1 night. We had 4 adults (all family members) and the bedrooms were small, the 1 and only bathroom was small, and the beds were maybe a Queen but felt like a Full bed. Single thermostat for "suite" and 1 bedroom hot and other cold. The free... More

First, the good - this hotel has clean, spacious rooms (even the studio rooms are plenty spacious), clean (looks like fairly newly refurbed corridors) nice decor, bed very comfortable, grounds well-kept, most staff give good service, good housekeeping staff, enough parking, even when full. However, we were staying here for a week, and arrived one eve around 9pm. We were... More

I was forced to stay here on a business trip as most stuff was sold downtown due to the South by Southwest music festival or was crazy expensive. I had a studio room at 169 which was not worth it. Hotel is more of an extended stay place and has the feel of an apartment complex. I did not try... More

Pros: Great location, clean rooms, plenty of breakfast-good variety Cons: lack of insulation between walls and upper floor transmitted noise from neighboring guests during all hours of day and night, breakfast area too small, not enough parking spaces

I’ve stayed at all types of Marriott hotels before but I have never stayed at Marriott TownePlace. For our Christmas break in Texas, I saw this place had a two bedroom suite available for the same points as a studio in Residence Inn, I gave this hotel a try. It is one of the older facilities, but it was very... More

This property is overall standard for this type of facility, but both the food and friendliness of the staff exceeded expectations. Breakfast included a nice assortment of yogurts and breads plus hot sausage and eggs--and a waffle station. On a few weeknights they offer a reception with drinks and hot food items as well. This stands out as superior to... More

Townplace Suites provides a little more room which is nice. This hotel was clean and comfortable but nothing out of the ordinary. I liked the fact that you could walk to a couple of restaurants. Whole Foods was also right down the street. I would probably stay here again if I had a meeting close by.

Service at the Towneplace Austin is outstanding but the property feels a little more like an '80s apartment complex than a hotel. The property is divided into two seperate buildings which is a little awkward considering you have to leave one building and cross the parking lot just to get ice. The lobby is very small, more like a lobby... More
