Barton Creek was just OK. Went there for business for my first time in Austin. If you are looking to be able to walk around Austin and check things out this is not the place. About 20 mins outside downtown and can feel pretty isolated at night with not much to do outside the hotel complex. Value was not great.... more

My stay at Barton Creek was nice, but not outstanding, and I expect more when I stay at a four-star resort. I can see how golfers, tennis players and those who like spas would consider the hotel to be top-notch, since it is located perfectly for any of these activities. However, you are located well away from anything else, and... more

Management response from
James Walsh, General Manager

The resort apologizes to this past guest from Cleveland and was delighted to have the opportunity to speak with her in person after learning of some of the details of her past visit. We all look forward to welcoming her back to Texas at some point in the future. The Concierge in question is one of the best team members...

Stayed 4 nights 10/6-10/9/09. My husband was there for business meeting. Standard hotel type room. Clean, bed ok. My biggest gripe was the dining. Only dinner dining 2 nights is the bar/grill. Main dining room open TH-SUN, very poor menu selections. No snack bar/deli any where on property. They do have a coffee bar that sells pastries and a couple... more

We stayed for 4 nights and had a very relaxing time. It was a great location and had everything you needed. Employees were very friendly and accommodating. Traveling with a 10 year old was easy. I went to the spa, my husband played golf and our daughter went to kids camp :^) Our room was nice and spacious. The bathroom... more

1. Bed: 2 of 5. The bed is quite firm, making for a sore back (for me) in the morning (my pregnant wife is OK with it). The sheets are nice, and there's a down comforter and mattress top. 2. Room: 3 of 5. Our renovated room needs some renovations. There are significant wall marks in the sleeping area, vanity... more

This is a very very nice Hotel. I do not play Golf , however for what I could see it is a Golfer's Paradise. The Room was super clean and nicely decorated. The Food is actually very good .. The white Chocolate Warm Bread Pudding is to die for. The Meeting facilities are spacious and comfortable. Let's not forget the... more

We stayed at Barton Creek on Aug.22-25. We got a 2 bedroom suite and what a disappointment that was!! Rooms were old and "out-dated" furniture was falling apart and drapes were hanging off the rod. We gave the hotel a debit card for our stay and they held $1700.00 dollars out of our account for verification. WE had already paid... more

Wow! The rooms are beautiful, the view is fantastic, the golf is amazing, spa is very nice. Food is great but somewhat limited on property. Fitness area is fantastic. Staff is very helpful and personable. However, for the level of resort Barton Creek is reaching for, is should continue to update its facilities (esp. the pool) and could definitley use... more

I checked this place out to see if I wanted to stay here at another time. I didn't see any rooms but took a tennis lesson and walked around the resort. This place was extremely busy at the time (July 2009); there were several business meetings going on....almost got run over a few times in the lobby. It has a... more
