This hotel is brilliantly located on South Congress with lots of great shopping and restaurants nearby. Rooms are spacious with great decorating and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A central courtyard with cocktail service is a great place to chill out, do a little work on the laptop, and chat with other visitors and locals. The only downside... More

Stayed (sadly only) one night on the way out of Austin after 10 days around West Texas, and it was the perfect landing and launching pad. Cool and relaxed, with everything you need for both comfort and pleasure within reach. Love the robes (now I regret not having bought one), the perfect amount of space to move around the room... The Keep Austin Weird movement is alive and well on S. Congress. Hotel San Jose is a boutique gem and the perfect place to check everything out. Great restaurants and shopping, a few steps from the hotel. Amazing music scene is easy access. Recommend petite suite, we had a private courtyard, great amenities and comfy cotton robes. Although we didn't... More

The location of Hotel San Jose is amazing! You are right next door to so many places on SoCo that it's perfect to walk around and enjoy the "weirdness" of Austin. Plus, the location of Jo's coffee is on site and is a must visit. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the room was nice. Very basic but funky --... More

Spent Valentines day weekend with my wife at Hotel San Jose, location is great, in the middle of all the action on South Congress; however I found the hotel to be grossly overpriced for what they offer; the rooms, ammenities and service are definitely not on par with a 400 + dollar per night hotel.

The rooms appeal to a certain design aesthetic but I loved it! It's classic contemporary and funky at the same time. It was a peaceful setting with great outdoor spaces. I was able to conduct business meetings right on my patio in this unique setting. Bed was super comfortable. It was a quiet room and the service was fantastic!

I'm a regular at Hotel Saint Cecilia and a huge fan of these folks. HSC was booked up when I was coming so I booked this one. The location is fantastic in the middle of South Congress and walking distance to a ton of great restaurants. Parking is free and there is a great cocktail lounge in the hotel. Service... More

Hello, Thank for taking the time to review the San Jose. We love our sister hotel The Saint Cecilia as much as you and are always happy to hear awesome reviews of their property. You are correct: our two hotels are both managed by the same company but are distinctly different. The San Jose has an intentional minimal vibe that... More

I've stayed here twice for business and I LOVE this chic little spot. This charming boutique hotel is designed by my favorite hotelier! I love every crevice of this place and draw inspiration from its savvy design. No detail has been overlooked and the entire place looks torn from the pages of Travel + Leisure magazine. It has an amazing... More
