Loved every second of our stay here! Great setting, lovely little details, great breakfasts and the comfiest rooms. Wouldn't change a thing. Loved the robes, the gorgeous comforter and great bathroom products.

We stayed here for just one evening and wished we could stay a week. The bed was small but comfortable for two. The pool was the perfect temperature for an early morning dip. Natural pool, not chlorinated. Great goodies in the room including bottled water. I can't wait to come back and take better advantage of the perfect location. Even... More

Just spent two nights at the awesomely, eclectic, very cool Hotel San Jose! I don't even know where to begin so I'll start with sliding into their 600 count like butter sheets! The mattress is superb, sheets highest quality, the pillows, well I've ordered two can't wait to get them, the towels are thick and fluffy the amenities Malin+ Goetz ordered... More

I got to pass through Austin this week and stay at one of my old favourites. After four years it had changed for the better by being a little more worn in and a little more comfortable. Still with the beautiful, off beat style and simple elegance I felt more at home than ever and plugged right into the vital... More

This is the kind of hotel you *stay* at. It's not that Austin isn't a great town--it is--but the San Jose is so pleasant, it's hard to want to go past the ivy-covered walls. I stayed for one night this month, after having stayed at the San Jose several years ago. It's as good or better than ever. Still stylish,... More

Great laid back style , very boutique. Rooms nicely done and a really lovely courtyard for evening drinks. Great location near some fun shops and cafes. Staff were so helpful. Bikes available for hire. Great wifi.

The staff, great! The atmosphere, incredible! The renovation was done so well. Being in the SoCo neighborhood of Austin sort of reminds me of a cool beach and surf town already and this place makes you have a continued feel of that vibe. It's very hip and eclectic. Area has much architecture from the 50's era and earlier. Foods trucks... More

We were in Austin for a business trip but spent the first night at the San Jose instead of the other corporate hotel and so glad we did! Neither of us wanted to leave the next day. The whole feel of the hotel is so cozy yet you are steps from the hustle of south congress. Our room was pretty... More

I found the hotel san joe in Kinfork magazine. Their interior design and service are awesome. They also have a nice cafe and amenities are Marin+Goez! But young people was singing all the night on the street when we stayed...it was tough to sleep. So I recommend to book a room where doesn't face the street:)

I went to check this place for the future. People have mentioned " minimal " as to the surroundings. Let's put it this way. It looked like a bed found in a monastery. Yes it had a bed. A lamp. A mirror and a toilet. Much to my surprise that rates were not "minimal". It is a great location BUT...I... More
