My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary weekend. The host was attentive without being intrusive. We stayed in the Lavendar Suite which is decorated nicely and the bed is comfy. The views from the bay windows are spectacular. The pool is a little chilly, but was perfect to lounge around in on a hot afternoon. We have already... More

Our daughter surprised my husband and I with a romantic getaway for our birthdays, July 26 and 29. We have stayed at several b&b's in our 27 years of marriage but this is by far one the most relaxing, serene and comfortable ones we have ever visited. The gentle twinkling of the air chimes as we relaxed pool side, the... More

My husband and I recently spent a few days at Casa del Sol for our anniversary. It had been many years since we spent time in the Austin area. When we get away on a mini-vacation for just the two of us, we generally like cities/towns with a much slower pace than Austin. However, we found this B&B via TripAdvisor... More

I have stayed here several times (in both cottages), and I invariably have a wonderful visit. To enter the beautiful and tranquil grounds via a tin-roofed porch is to enter a truly enchanted space. The cottages are charming and comfortable as well as spotless and well-appointed. The beds are luxurious, with crisp linens and your choice of pillow. The service... More

let me start by saying that this place made me realize that most hotels are really not in the business of providing comfort or relaxation. Casa Del Sol was a most relaxing destination and made us forget all of our troubles. The service is great and Doug made sure that if we needed anything he was available. We rented both... More

If you are looking for a super fancy, being waited on hand and foot and no peace bed and breakfast, then this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for peace, serenity, quiet, charming and inviting, then welcome home. Casa del Sol at Lake Austin was by far one of the best trips we had taken... More

We returned to Casa del Sol after a wonderful, relaxing weekend there this past summer. Once again, we were well taken care of! The sounds of the fountain are so relaxing as we would sit on the patio multiple times each day. I love the location (we love the nearby Steiner Ranch). The owner's dog Muffin is a sweet sweet... We chose this specific bed and breakfast based on all of the great reviews on TripAdvisor, but I have to say that we were not impressed and did not enjoy staying here. First, the place was overdecorated with out-of-date decor, which made the place seem very cluttered. The "bathroom/kitchenette" area is separated by a small trail that will only fit... More

I don't even know quite how to respond to this review, although I feel I must, since it's the first one to appear now, at the top of the list of 24 beautiful reviews, some from repeat customers... We were chosen as one of the top romantic B&B's at Lake Travis by Austin Monthly Magazine. Rest assured our Austin city... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here for my birthday. I have to say, it was the most relaxing birthday ever! We visited a couple of nice eestaurants in the area and spent the rest of the weekend relaxing in the swimming pool and the hot tub.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Casa del Sol, at Lake Travis. We are a small B&B with a laid-back Southwestern flavor. The cottage has golden faux-finished walls, lace curtains, rustic southwestern furniture and queen bed. The kitchenette has Mexicancobalt blue tile, and is fully equipped with full refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, dishes and pots and pans. The romantic guestroom has a private entrance from the deck with a beautiful picture window view of a green valley and Lake Travis. It has a queen bed, private bath, microwave, and refrigerator. Step out onto the secluded patio and deck for a view of Lake Travis. Or soak in the hot tub, swim in the pool, read & relax in the hammock, or even get an on-site massage on the deck, or in your room. Relax and read to the sound of the pool and pond fountains. There is a small meditation garden , a gazebo, lots of bird feeders, bird baths, and birds, birds, birds!!! The flavor is relaxed, romantic, secluded, green and peaceful. ... more   less
