We booked the hotel through Priceline expecting a 3 star hotel near campus. It was a barely 2 star hotel at least 6-7 miles from campus in a rundown neighborhood. There were several nights that we returned to the hotel to find sketchy looking people sitting on the benches outside the door or hanging out in the lobby with no... More

We were in Austin for an event at the University of Texas, which required us to be on campus by 7:30 am on a Friday and a Saturday. Since traffic can be bad during rush hour, we wanted to book a hotel that was close to the UT campus. Frankly, we needed to watch our dollars on this trip as... More

After reading the reviews I had my mind set that it was going to be an awful place. For some things I was pleasantly surprised, others not so much. New fencing has been installed around the property, parking lot was ok but maybe not the safest of places. Limited parking close to building. Neighborhood did seem a bit seedy, but... More

this hotel is in desperate need of and upgrade ,overall appearance is not welcoming, starting with the parking lot ,and the resection area ,lets start with the good is you needs a place to sleep and not much else is ok for the price as long you pay under $80.00,my room was facing the front of the hotel on the second... The Comfort Inn is located right on Interstate-35 in a seedy section of Austin where vagrants hang out on the street corner and panhandlers approach one's car at the intersection. The night clerk was friendly, but she could do nothing about the intolerable noise emanating from the sports bar next door to the hotel. The driving beat of the overly... More

There is a sports bar right next door to the hotel. It's almost like being on a cruise ship and having a room adjacent to the disco! Disco and freeway noise is a definitely a factor to consider. Beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. I would stay again but in a room on the southwest corner.

First let me begin by saying that my main complaint with this hotel is the non-disclosure of $150 deposit. They do state in "EXTRA fine print" deposit required but $150 dollars????? They state nothing about. Seriously!?!?!? Ive stayed at many hotels within my lifetime and I must say that not even the Marriott has EVER charged me $150 deposit for... More

What a disappointment. This property used to be a fantastic budget friendly option for the Austin area. Upon check in, I found Crystal to be RUDE, DIRECT, LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL, SNOOTY, SARCASTIC...her overall demeanor unbecoming of a person in the hospitality industry. Property was less than clean, Spa was broken (again) breakfast was terrible...they had just put up a new... More

This used to be my go-to hotel in Austin, clean rooms, clean pool, friendly staff... my how times have changed. Pulling up for this quick visit, the first thing you notice is sections of fencing that are down, and wilted flowers in the planters by the front doors. Texas has had some horrible storms lately, so willing to overlook. Checked... More

I was a little skeptical when we pulled in; the fence looked like it was made with pallets but we had booked on Priceline and got the room for $65 and we were only here for one night and we knew we wouldn't be in the room but a few hours so we went on in. The young lady that... More
