I stayed here for the SXSW music festival. While a bit far from that activity, I thought this hotel was a good value. The room was roomy and comfortable, staff was efficient and friendly. Free newspapers in the AM, free water in the Lobby, free wifi.

I’ve chosen this hotel to stay near the University of Texas. Cab from the airport to the hotel was 22$. Pros - Close to UT (although you have to cross IH-35 if you want to walk and it might be challenging) - Friendly and careful staff Cons - Noisy because next to IH-35. Avoid rooms on that side. - The... More

We stayed at this hotel because it was the closest available for the UT open house. However, it is not a good value for the money. Breakfast is not included, and expensive for what you get. The breakfast buffet was just okay, can't vouch for made to order food since we were in a hurry. It is sort of close... More

I stayed overnight. There was nothing within walking distance except the Denny's in the parking lot. Helpful staff. Ended up eating in the hotel because the taxi service they recommended were either drunk or just not very smart and we couldn't get a taxi to get to 6th street or food. Hotel food was okay, nothing great. Noisy rooms next... More

This hotel is just off the I-35 and is within walking distance of the LBJ Presidential Library, the Blanton Museum of Art, Texas State History Museum, and the Capitol. We spent 2 nights there, March 8 and 9, and found the rooms and the hotel to be very comfortable. The room appeared to have been updated recently, including the bathroom.... More

Tub was rust-stained and sealant was in such bad shape that I would not even get in it to take a bath. Cabinet paint cracked and peeling. $244 a night for a room I wouldn't bathe in. I took a picture of the tub and showed it to the desk clerk the next morning. He said someone would contact me;... More

I sincerely apologize for the condition of your bathroom. That is not what we expect any of our guests to experience and is completely unacceptable. I am glad that I was able to speak with you over the phone and look forward to you giving us another opportunity in the future. More

This hotel has a good location being right off the access road of I 35. They have free wifi which I used all through my stay with no connection problems. Beds were comfortable and hotel was quite. Pretty affordable as well.

This is a dependable corporate hotel staffed by accommodating and friendly employees. The location on I-35 is convenient (although beware that there are two DoubleTree properties on I-35 in the Austin area) and provided you don't mind crossing either an underpass or overpass, is also a 15 - 20 minute walk from the University, Capitol, and Downtown areas. Rooms are... More

I was in town for a wedding. The location was great and the hotel met my needs for this trip. The check in was smooth and quick as was the check out. Only a few minor nit pick issues: I could never get the room warm, I had the thermostat up to 75 and it never got warm in the... More

The hotel is conveniently located and the room was large, including the bathroom. The staff without exception were helpful, kind, and made my stay a treat. The only real suggestion is that the restaurant menu didn't have a lot of interesting choices for vegetarians.
