Stayed at the Doubletree one night in June, we where booked for four nights but after two hours we decided to change hotel. Booked a suite with full kitchen, but no plates and utencils to cook, when ask for that we got two frying pans... Pool was not clean. If you could avoid to stay at this hotel, do yourself... more

Good place to be in a GREAT town. Rooms were ample, clean, and comfortable. I'd return to this hotel, but there were some minor problems. My room was not available upon arrival (4:00pm) due to a surge in occupancy during a bikers event. The coffee in the room was never replaced (I stayed there three nights), the elevators were very... more

I took my two young daughters to the Doubletree for one night and we had a great time. The service was super (room service was FAST), the room was a large one bedroom suite, and the floor we were on was very quiet. However, the hotel did have some negatives, the biggest being the parking garage. It took me three... more

The Doubletree on 15th Street is a very good location. But that about ends the positives for the hotel. The underground parking garage is horribly designed, so much so that about half of the parking spots are unusable if you have anything larger than a compact car. The hotel only has two elevators and you can want for a long,... more

The service was very pleasant - front desk and restaurant - and it's kinda nice (albeit unnecessary) to have 2 tv's in each suite. Good location - about 10 minute walk to the Capitol and a $5+tip taxi to downtown. We had a balcony view of the Capitol building which was pleasant. That being said, this hotel has some issues... more

The spacious two-room suite at the Doubletree was a comfortable base for exploring Austin, but I endorse others' comments about the overall ambience seeming rather tired. We got the high floor suite we sought, but facing the wrong way (north), with just a view of the tower block opposite. Given the pretty steep prices charged over New Year, it was... more

Ive stayed at this Doubletree Guest suites a few time over the past 12 years and it's certainly seen better days. I think it's sad when a hotel company let's a good place go to pot. It seems since the Hilton hotel corporation bought this place they've decided not to take care of it. It has a really good location... more

We stayed on a Friday night with a toddler on his first trip. Check-in was easy. We handled our bags ourselves. It would have helped if someone had given advice on the best parking level, told us to go ahead and unload the SUV because it's VERY difficult to get your bags from the parking garage, etc. The garage is... more

It reminded me of being in a cheap Motel 6 although I have never stayed in one. 1970's sprayed on acoustical ceilings, tacky old green carpet, dingy furniture, tired kitchen (been around for at least 20 years) just to give some idea as to the decor. We got a 2 bedroom suite that had one towel for my wife and... more

This hotel is conveniently located to the state capitol complex and downtown Austin. UT is also close by. Our 2-bedroom suite was large and comfy with a big sitting area between the king-size bed equipped bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were large, modern and clean. The sitting area had a sofa, chair and TV, as well as... more
