The staff and new management are helpful and accommodating with great attitudes. The hotel is easily accessed with lots of free parking and located near numerous shopping centers. The room was clean and spacious with very comfortable bedding. Even though it was busy, it was quiet and peaceful. They have a a cute cafe and better than most free breakfast.

This Hyatt Place has all basic facilities you would expect from a hotel in this category. It also has nice rooms and good service. The hotel is easily accessible by car and has lots of free parking spaces. The wifi is free and fast enough, the complementary breakfast is OK. It also has a nice pool and a fitness area.... More

apparently new management now decided to cut services and staff and raise prices. Although the stay at this Hyatt place was for $239 a night, you no longer get the standard toiletries you are accustomed to at a Hyatt. Oh and forget about getting fresh clean sheets. they apparently do not change the sheets often and stains are on them.... More

A B, Thank you for your feedback. We certainly aim to give excellent service to all guests and in most cases, we do get very good remarks. I sincerely apologize that your stay was less than satisfactory. Because you were here during a special event weekend, the rates were quite a bit higher than normal and the hotel was indeed... More

It's the service that sets this location apart. I was stranded in the lobby due to freezing roads last month (January '14). Taxi companies kept saying they were coming and not showing up...and I was about to be late for a keynote address I was giving at the University downtown. The front desk was working non-stop calling every car service... More

Thank you for your kind remarks about our staff. I am so proud of the people we have here and they are truly nice and caring. The Hyatt Place concept is all about treating people the way we would treat them if they were visiting us at our "place". I am so grateful that you took a little bit of... More

I stayed here one night on business in February 2014. It met my expectation for a Hyatt Place. Check-in was quick and efficient; Hyatt status was acknowledged. Parking lot was well-lit and I secured a space fairly close to the door. The room was a typical Hyatt Place room--everything was clean. Internet was a bit slower than I would have... More

Thank you for your comments. While we are not downtown, we are considered the secondary business and leisure area of Austin. With the Domain and Arboretum on both sides, there is quite a bit of shopping and dining and we're always happy to make suggestions for other types of excursions. I'm glad you liked your stay and we would love... More

We decided on a little splurge, and chose the Hyatt Place based more on location than anything else. Great room with a sitting area, pivot TV viewable from both spaces, a nice work area, bright colors and a modern look. Close to some shopping, but can tricky to get to with the one way roads. Use the back way.

Thank you for your comments. This part of Austin is intersected by three different highways and depending on the direction you are coming from, can be a little tricky. Not all map programs have this area configured properly. We're always happy to give directions to help you out. One of the things which makes us popular with our guests are... More

stayed 10 nights and found: friendly and competent staff complementary high speed broadband plenty of car park spaces gym bar pool if I were to miss anything it would be room service but, having a myriad of restaurants at walking distance, this would be more of a whim rather than a 'must have'

We got a great AAA rate at $85 per night and stayed there for 3 days in Jan. Had a bit of a snafu based on going night to night and them increasing the rate $15 midweek when the hotel was completely quiet, but after 15 minutes of a customer service interaction they matched the rate. The room was very... More

Dear guest, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Although AAA rates are not typically extended past the dates of the original booking, we try to be flexible when we can. Although the standard rate may seem higher than what you expected, rates in Austin, even during relatively slower periods are typically higher than any other city... More

Always enjoy my experiences at Hyatt Place hotels, and this was no exception. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, and checkin/checkout was easy. Wi-fi worked well and staff was friendly and considerate. Wouldn't stay here to explore downtown Austin, but as a place to park and stay, a very enjoyable hotel.

This is a nice hotel when you really just need the basics, but want quality to go with it. The rooms are clean, the staff helpful, and the breakfast just right.
