We were very unhappy at our last visit in the last of October 2013 when we were told they were closing and reverting back to private ownership as condos at the end of the year. I tried to contact them to see if this happewned but had no luck reaching them. Was a great location for us and we were... More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely facility, so nice to have full kitchen, separate living room and nice sized bedroom. The staff was friendly and helpful and as an added bonus there is free breakfast. We will definitely be staying here again.

It was the best hotel we stayed in Texas! 2 big rooms, kitchen zone, all new facilities and very friendly staff. First time we choose Allandale fortuitously, just because it's not so far from the airport and AVIS (car rental) was not so far from the hotel and price was extremely good because of Thanksgivin sales. And I really liked... More

Folks, this is a motel--not a high-end hotel! As such, you have plenty of parking. My room was very clean, and kept clean. The bed was comfortable, with good sheets. Hot water and water pressure just fine. Breakfast provided was not "gourmet", but it was certainly okay--toast, cereal, yogurt, juice--and, besides, there is a full kitchen in your room. Big... More

Let's share the reality of the Hotel Allandale without all of the hyperbolic drama from other reviewers. Bottom line the Hotel Allandale is a renovated apartment complex that offers the traveler to Austin a relatively clean and certainly spacious location to spend the night or a few nights. In all probability this property is perfect for persons traveling in a... More

I fully concur with the review below titled "Worst Hotel of the Year". My experience can only add my additional experience. I stayed in room 125 and found that my shower took about 10 minutes to have "hot" water arrive. The water that finally got there was at best luke warm and resulted in a chilly and quick clean up.... This was bad bad bad from the get go. Did not get room that front desk said we would have. Said he upgraded us to a two bedroom. It was just my husband and myself and we needed a king size bed and one bedroom. No king sized bed in either bedroom. Smell of cat urine really strong! Then looked... More

I would not have chosen this hotel but for priceline. The trip-advisor reviews were not too promising and I was almost dreading it. What I found was: Overall the pros were the low price thru Priceline, well kept grounds, and spacious room and location. The cons, if these affect you are the the fact that the facility is older and... More

Ah, the Hotel Allandale. What can I say about the worst experience I've had in a year? Let's start with the drive across their parking lot to get to the lobby where you can check in. Looking like a scene out of a particularly low-budget horror film, the Hotel Allendale's cracked pavement, falling-down buildings, and general sense of numinous dread... More

After relocating down here for a job from Cleveland, we have had our fair share of living out of hotels for the last week. This place popped up on google maps and we gave it a shot. It seems like an old apartment/condo complex that was turned into a hotel. A little outdated but a very nice spot to stay.... More
