This hotel was recommended by a family member who lives close by. The hotel is very quaint, overlooking Lake Travis. We were in building three, which I don't recommend. I believe the other two buildings have a better view of the lake. Some repairs are needed to the balcony of the room we stayed in. Other than that, the room... more

Listed as one of the & Most Romantic Getaways on Lake Travis... Vintage Villas (VV) is typically for weddings/occasions or getaways. The property itself upon arriving is eye appealing. All rooms have a lakeview, but in the Central Texas building your view for the sunset can be limited depending on the room you get. The balconies on some rooms are... more

VV is an awesome place to stay. IT is the quintisential Hill Country Hotel. Beautiful views, and the service Monkeys are awesome. Yes I said service monkeys. You see VV has a new owner, and he decided to make the place more entertaining by adding the cute little monkeys. And guess what, they ride unicycles. Watching those little scamps trying... more

We stayed here for one night for a wedding. It is a very scenic hotel and excellent location for a wedding. The room we stayed in was very large with an excellent balcony overlooking Lake Travis. Some of the rooms do not have balconies. The service at the hotel was not spectacular, but adequate. The hotel is also a bit... more

I stayed here over the New Years holiday and loved it. The room was comfortable, the bed was fantastic and the bathroom was very nice. Loved the big tub with room for two and whirlpool. Very private, quite and the operators were very helpful. We hung the Do not disturb sign and was not bothered at all for three days.... more

I loved Vintage Villas! The view is wonderful, the setting is peaceful, the room was clean, hotel staff were friendly. It is definitely a botique hotel and you don't have all the same amenities as a big chain resort/hotel. At night there is no one in reception to take your calls, it goes to an answering service. I wish they... more

We were looking forward to a week of pampering. The website site promised luxury--we got two-star at best for a preminum price. There was a horribly loud party in our building the first night which kept us up until 1:00 a.m. with screaming, singing, rock music and slamming doors. The furnishing in our room were not even par with a... more

Mercy me. What a comedown. A co-worker and I spent the week in Austin at the Mansion at Judge's Hill and then moved for the weekend to this place "on" Lake Travis. Everything you hear about the views of Lake Travis are true--wonderful. But there are "views" and then there are "views". You can see Lake Travis from this location... more

Not a bit. No ice machines, so we had to hike about a hundred yards to the office to get ice. The parking area looked like a pickup truck dealer's lot and all the trucks looked like they were full of liquor, ice chests, and soon to be drunk 20-something wedding goers. A little bit scary to park our car... more

The staff was awsome! We got there and everyone was ready to greet us and help us make our stay nicer. When we mentioned that we were just on a romantic night out, without our little one...the front desk immediately asked if we wanted wine, chocolate covered strawberries..ect...After coming back from our night out, as promised beautifully decorated strawberries and... more
