Rather run-down and the front desk clerk (20 something girl) seemed quite distracted and unable to deal with more than one person at a time. We were directed to the back door to access our room and found the elevator not working and the other elevator not working properly. The clientele seemed a bit suspect and the area of town... More

We stayed at the Amarillo Clarion Hotel because it is convenient to the International Airport. It was rated as 2.5 stars on a 4 star scale. The lobby and commons areas were in good condition, but the room had peeling paint and the curtains were falling down. Addtionally the carpet in the hallways was well worn. There were a number... I travel to Amarillo every month for work and have been staying at this location for the past two and a half years or so. When it was ran by the Holiday Inn it was always a nice, clean, reasonably-priced hotel. However, my most recent stay was terrible. I was locked out of my room three times the first night... More

This hotel is run down and poorly managed. The only positive comment I can make is that the staff was friendly. We arrived late at night to check in and were told to park on the side of the hotel and use the back entrance for access to the elevator there. Unfortunately, we found the back elevator had an Out... The hotel was great and accessible. The breakfast was delish us. Staff was friendly and happy. There was one thing. I Personally witnessed an Indian man shitting in the bushes in the courtyard. I expect to enjoy this again.

Arrived for reservation at 11:30 p.m, was told that rooms were not ready, they were being cleaned, be ready in about 5 minutes. Waited almost an hour for a room with a lobby full of people in the same predicament. This property is old, rundown, and obviously poorly managed.

Friendly staff, the manager, Stephen, was particularly helpful and considerate. The center atrium has an area with pinball machines, pool tables, and arcade games. The Restuarant looks like an old soda fountain hang-out. The breakfast was better than average. The hotel is a little worn around the edges and could use some new mattresses. But, overall, it was clean and... More

After reading the previous reviews, I was not sure what to expect. We arrived on a Sunday evening, tired after a long drive. Check-in was friendly and fast, our room, which we Pricelined for a great deal, had a king-size bed, was clean, did not smell musty or like pets, bed was clean and comfy. We did not use pool... More

I recently visited Amarillo for a business trip. My stay at the Clarion was outstanding. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted and felt very comfortable. I checked in and had some free time so I went to the workout room and it had everything I needed to get my workout in. Then I headed to the... More

Hotel is older but clean, updated, no smoking odors. Good value for the rate I got on Hotwire. Do not understand the negative reviews I read . My experience was fine. I wasn't expecting a 5 star facility.
