I want to say that the Magnuson Hotel in Amarillo is the most friendliest hotel I have been in. The outside of hotel does not make a great impression, but the inside does. First of all the clerk(s) were friendly and helpful. The room was ok, it is not a 4 star hotel, but the hospitality makes up for the... more

This hotel was recommended by one near by that did not have any rooms available. I wanted to see the room first and when I did it was ABOVE EXPECTATIONS! It was very clean and nice. The outside of the hotel needs a lot of updating but the inside was wonderful, and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful with... more

This hotel was newly renovated by the new owners and it shows. The furniture was very nice, it had new carpet, and very clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good! I was very impressed at the quality for the price paid. Very reasonably priced and stunned when I saw how great the rooms... more

Do not stay here. Rooms were dirty and smelled bad. Carpeting and upholstery were badly stained. Our room had an infestation of flys. Toilets in other rooms seemed to flush their water through our toilet tank. There are better options nearby. more

For $40, one can't expect much from a motel, but at least want a clean bed and bathroom. My room at the Red Roof Inn had a very comfortable king bed, but the room was so small the bed filled up the place. On close inspection hairs were present in the sheets of my bed. The rooms at the Red... more

We stayed here just driving through town on the way home from a Colorado vacation. We made a phone reservation about 3 hours before arriving and were given a nice downstairs room when we arrived at 10:30 at night. The desk clerk was courteous and helpful. Pool looked nice also. Our room was clean - nothing fancy. We did find... more

tried the Red Roof Inn enroute to Colorado. Found a good rate on the internet and then found an additional coupon in a travel booklet. Arrived at 1:00 a.m. and there was some confusion as to whether or not our room had been given away; even though we had a confirmation #. Beds were too firm for my taste; but... more
