If I'd paid $60 for the night my expectations would have been met, but in the $100 range they were sadly lacking. Everything is old and yellow except the towels, the sheets on the bed and the young staff on the front desk... the mattresses, the pillows, the TV, the microwave, the hairdryer, the paint on the walls, the filthy... I frequently travel from Denver to San Antonio. I make Amarillo my half way stop and always try to stay at the Ashmore Inn. The location is terrific for getting on south bound I-27. The hotel is warm and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and have both a refrig and microwave. Beds---very comfortable. There is free WiFi in the... More

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was large and well furnished with a comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, and ironing board and iron. There is a fitness center and indoor pool. They have a Happy Hour with free drinks and small sandwiches. I would return there if I was in the area again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ashmore, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom spotless although it had a few cracks on the side of bathtub and shower wall, Breakfast was all right. The " happy hour" was great, a few free drinks and some small sandwiches. What more does... More

A nice comfy hotel . 8/10 no complaints except breakfast could have been better , but it was sufficient . Room was large , beds were easy to sleep on with a good selection of amenities in room. Breakfast wants to be more with more fresh food. I found the bacon a bit on the hard side and not as... More

The hotel is fine, nothing special one way or another. But after staying at the Ashmore in Flagstaff, AZ, I was looking forward to breakfast -- sausage & eggs, perfect potatoes, various coffees, fresh fruit, the works. We arrived at breakfast about 15 minutes before closing time, only to discover the sausage pan was empty, the coffee urn was empty,... More

The manager refused to check in my traveling employees, who came to Amarillo for a training at West Texas A&M because she would not accept our company credit card. With me, the director of said company, on the phone, Ruby said I will do it this one time, then openly berated my employees while passing their cell phone back to... More

After a long day of driving and a good review online, we chose Ashmore Inn. It was in a convenient location for our travel and just behind the Cracker Barrel, so we didn't need to go far for a good meal. The desk clerk was very helpful initially, but when we reported that we had no vanity light, it was... More

My wife and I were just passing through town and needed a room for the night. The hotels in the area were relatively expensive, and we found this one on Tripadvisor. We stayed on the second floor and couldn't be any happier. EVERYTHING was in good condition and in working order. The carpets were nice inside the room and in... More
