We stayed at the Amarillo KOA overnight on our way to Grand Canyon, besides this place being in a dark industrial park you have a train track with very early trains waking you up blaring thier horns. when we got there it was raining and I couldn't get the reservation sheet out of the night box as there were frogs... This was my first tent camping experience EVER! Amarillo KOA made it a great one! Facilities are very clean and well kept. Main office/store had plenty of supplies if you forget something, and if they don't have it, there's a walmart not too far away. Our first 2 nights we survived some frightening thunderstorms! The KOA came by to check... More

Office staff friendly and very accommodating. We did not have a reservation. Pulled in about 6 p.m. and glad we came in when we did, because the place filled up fast. The dogs loved the small dog park, the teenager loved the pool, and I loved the laundry facilities. The park is close to a WalMart. Had a cute little... More

This is hands-down the nicest campground I've ever stayed in (30 years of experience). Do yourself a favor I'd you are camping in the SW. Stay at this lovely, clean KOA with a great staff! The bathrooms were clean and abundant with showers. The pool is clean and new. Cabins have air conditioning. A+ Amarillo KOA

We were only here overnight, so my review will be short: The people that work here are LOVELY. So sweet. Loved the escort to the site. Good: KOA amenities Bad: right next to airport and can hear planes quite loudly. Also very near railroad tracks and those horns started blowing at around 6am. Bring earplugs. All in all, ok for... We found the park off of the old I-40 business route next to the airport. Kind of tucked away in the corner of a field in the open. Not much on looks, but friendly enough staff. Roads need to be re-scraped, pretty rough pulling in a rig. Airport didn't bother us.

At this stop in Amarillo, we were pleased with this RV Park stop. My pro's are, the place was clean, things were quiet, guest were friendly, and the employee's were quite friendly. There seems to be a few nice things in the area to do as well. If I had to give a few tips of improvement or some con's I... More

I've been reading the complainers talk about the noise and then laugh when I see those who complain the loudest are 'camping' in an RV. Seriously?? Sour grapes people. I've stayed at this KOA a handful of times as it is a great stopping point between my home in Denver and my parents' home in Dallas. I make the drive... More

We have stayed at lots of KOA's and this one is nothing special. You are in the middle of a field in between a military airport and a train track. Even though the place was half empty, the owners still managed to put everyone right together side by side and the spots are small. We had considered staying in an... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We do our best to space out our guests whenever possible but our ability to do that depends on what types of sites are rented. Often times our guests request all 50 amp sites and those are next to each other which is probably what happened during your recent... More
