Despite downtown being a bit of a ghost town we enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard while passing through Amarillo. Found other reviews to be quite accurate - interesting mix of old and new in the historic building. Rooms are comfortable and sleep quality was good. Front desk and restaurant staff were all very accommodating. Ate dinner at the Mexican... More

This hotel is located in the coolest part of the city. Across the street is the best coffee I have ever tasted at Palace coffee. Best food at Rain. And the people who work here especially Donna are amazing, helpful, joyful and terrific at their jobs. I felt welcome from the moment we arrived I've been here twice and it... More

This stay was well priced at $136US. The room was very comfortable and the staff were great people. We greatly enjoyed our overnight stay whilst doing Route 66. The bed was comfortable and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was a very cool hotel in downtown Amarillo. Nicely decorated, easy access, self parking garage right in the middle of downtown. Staff was very friendly. We arrived late and wanted a night cap. The concierge was helpful as there were several bars across the street. He listened to our taste and steered us away from the 'young crowd' to... More

TXBohemian was traveling in the High Plains and checked TripAdvisor for a good hotel for a stay in Amarillo. Reviews for Courtyard Downtown were good, and the rate for a Sunday night was also good. If you've read TXBohemian's other reviews, you will know that LaQuinta's are the preferred hotel of this traveler, however, reviews for LQ's in Amarillo were... More

On our way back home to Nevada from our Bahama Island Hopping 2015 holiday we ended up grounded in Amarillo, TX. We were flying our plane home from our trip when the ugly Tornado Alley raised it's head. With the plane hangared at the airport, my husband and I settled into the Courtyard Marriott in Amarillo. Securing our room was... More

We always enjoy coming to this hotel! The customer service and staff are so friendly and remember us by name! The beds are comfy and the rooms are extra spacious so when I bring my brother in a wheelchair we have more than plenty of room! I also like the split set up that some of the rooms have- it... More

Really enjoyed this stay, spacious room, comfortable beds, helpful staff. Easy walking distance 0.2 miles to fine dining (which was a good thing as the winds were howling with gusts to 50 mph). And it seemed like there were several other choices. I liked the covered parking, but if there could be one complaint, it was the stairway access to... More

Seems to be an established location - Nonetheless, great shape, clean and friendly. I'm a Marriott Platinum Elite and this place was upto par. But, asked for a room on the East side of the building - I awoke on the west. Got a breakfast croissant at the Lobby Coffee Bar - way over heated - mushy and chewy. Coffee... More

As a Marriott Platinum level member, I frequently get upgraded rooms. I was afforded one at our stay here on April 5/6. The room was on the top floor, 10th, and afforded a good view of Amarillo. However, my first impression as I entered the room was, "Who stole the furniture?!". The room was large; approximately 2.5 times the normal... More

I apologize your experience was not as expected. Our King Suites are one of the larger rooms allowing guests traveling with families or additional luggage the convenience of an uncrowded room. Thank you and we appreciate your comments and certainly value loyalty to Marriott and recognize your Platinum Elite Status. We hope you will visit us again to experience our... More
