Alpine was our second halt after San Antonio. We reached McDonald observatory in the evening. After a breath taking experience at this observatory we reached this property at around 10 pm.We were really hungry. Lucky to pick burgers at Sonic. Nice warm reception at this hotel on a really cold night. We had booked two rooms. Good warm and clean... More

Our first time in Alpine started with a great place to stay. From check-in to check-out, this is run like a five star hotel but small town and friendlier. We extended our two day stay to three days and regretted we had to head home. They gave us a handicapped room for reasons unknown but we liked the extra room... More

I stayed here one night on my way to Big Bend and did not experience any issues described by other reviewers. It was nothing special and price was high in my opinion, but rates are comparable to other places in town; just not exactly high season in the area. I have no complaints about the hotel; thought the staff were... More

I had stayed at this hotel prior to my poor experience and found it satisfactory, not great but okay. I had booked a room through the hotel chains website and in the "Notes" on the reservation page stated that I would be arriving after midnight. I was moving to the area therefor I was driving along with the movers and... More

The breakfast area wasn't looked after properly, nearly all items were out for extended periods, the breakfast attendant had a boat load of excuses and wanted to drone on about getting up at 4:30, and on and on. It was terrible. I went to the front desk twice, where two disinterested employees, doing nothing, felt it was okay to say... More

We have stayed at this property before, both as a BestWestern and as a Quality Inn, and have had completely satisfactory experiences. So I felt completely comfortable booking a 3-night stay over the Christmas holidays. On the plus side, staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfasts met the standard for this sort of hotel. BUT -- on the minus side,... More

Bed was comfortable. Quiet hotel. Breakfast was okay-not great but it is included. Friendly people. We stayed here for a motorcycle ride into Big Bend and Ft. Davis. Good place to stay for sleeping, showers, etc. If with a large group- nice outside area by the pool to hang out. We will stay here again for sure.

We picked this hotel because it's availability on such a short notice. Overall, the rooms were clean and it included breakfast. The breakfast was the most amazing meal, but it has bacon, eggs, biscuits, fruit, and waffles. The staff had been super friendly and they have some cool art (that's for sale) displayed throughout the lobby. It's not in the... More

Can't put my finger on what I don't like. All new furniture, but any repairs made in the room seem to be done by a very unskilled handyman. Bathroom could use an update but everything worked. Check in was brusque, but efficient. Carpet was a very industrial feeling carpet squares. In short I don't have much to complain about but... More

Great breakfast. Could have done without the black widows. Good price. Staff was extremely friendly. We were able to get extra soap toothbrushes towels with no problem kids enjoyed their stay the decor was beautiful. Only complaint like I said before was the black widows. Little scary half the size of my palm hidden in the towels
