Nice adobe/western decor. We had a "deluxe" king room. Not as spacious as a regular motel, but sufficient. Twas concerned about other reviews about small bathrooms, but found this one to be OK. Trains at night were a bother, but we went right back to sleep. Daily "maid" service was a bonus for a B&B, but on the other hand,... More

I have to say when we pulled up i was a little worried this place looks a little rough! I can tell you this place is GREAT. We had a king Superior room and it was awesome! great mattress w a pillow selection. The place is cowboy sheik for lack of a better description. Great value for the Quality of... More

I had booked a room from France a few monthes earlier. When we checked in, they offered us to choose between our room and 2 other bigger rooms! It was so nice!!! Because we didn't have any shower coming from Marfa where there was water pipes works and water off in the whole city, we chose room #52 with a... More

A great place to getaway! Spacious rooms, rustic Western decor. Friendly staff. Ceiling fans a bit dusty, and hot water in double shower did not work....minor setbacks for an otherwise fantastic stay.

We checked out rather early in the morning. The closet was pretty dark. I had a large shopping bag overstuffed with new clothes that I just didn't see. We checked into another hotel less than 2 hours later, I realized that it was left behind. I called the Maverick right away the manager said she talked to the maid and... More

Our stay was for 3 days while we visited Marfa, Marathon, Fort Davis & McDonald's Observatory. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and the town. Our room was clean, cool, and unique. The breakfast was very good. We will be staying at Maverick Inn again when next we visit the Big Bend Region. The pool was excellent and... More

After reading reviews and checking out pictures online, I booked (online). Let me tell you, pictures and reviews don't even come close to what I expected. Arriving I immediately felt like I was somewhere other than Texas. Cute, clean and friendly staff, this place was an adobe paradise nestled in the mountains. I am beyond pleased with my hotel choice.... More

The Maverick is definitely a home-away-from-home kind of place. Warm, friendly, charming personnel make this quaint, but updated inn the perfect spot for a vacation base. The rooms are private enough for honeymooners, close enough for larger families, and absolutely perfect for friends on a roadtrip. Old adobe style coupled with modern expectations turn The Maverick into a relaxing haven.... More

The Maverick Inn is definitely all three. It's a cool, renovated motor hotel with a ton of the original charm, modern comforts and very friendly staff. My room featured vintage fixtures mixed with new renovations but all was in keeping with the inn's original design and it was very clean. In addition to its nod to its past, the room... More

The Maverick Inn has become our home away from home when visiting the Big Bend area. This was our second stay and will surely be on next summer's agenda. Perfect location for a day trip to Ft. Davis and the state park and a visit to Marfa to see the lights. Less than an hour from Terlingua Ghost Town, Big... More
