We spent one night at the Maverick Inn on a driving tour of the Big Bend region. Alpine was our first stop. The Maverick Inn has a very quaint West Texas vibe and was very nicely decorated. While we liked the Maverick and found the staff helpful, I would not choose this motel again. The room is well decorated with talavera coffee cups and soap dishes and Saltillo tile. However, Our room was very small. We had no where to put our things. The lighting was very dim. In a town, where there's not much to do... more

We stayed at the Maverick Inn in Alpine, Texas over spring break. What a pleasant surprise it was. The motel is completely renovated in the past year or so with Saltillo tile and other rustioc touches. No two rooms are the same (we stayed in 2), all are really nice.
