This hotel is priced right where it should be and for the price, you expect just the bare bones. Room was very clean, though some of the ceiling paint in the bathroom may need to be touched up. Bed was comfy, television was nice and free wifi is something unexpected. This is a hotel for those like me that are... More

There was a dead mouse in my commode upon arrival. I had to flush him down the commode. After driving 12 hours, I didn't have the energy to complain and them send me to another room. I liked being in the back where it was quite and looing out the back. There were run down houses next door and an... More

You pull up and think "Hmm, will this be OK?", but I'll tell you, it was. The man at the desk (whom I assume is the owner) was very pleasant, got me in my room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. Someone else mentioned bathroom upgrades, but mine seemed to have been done, new tile, etc. All in all,... More

We had a room here when visiting the McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis TX. The Best Western across the street was sold out after we had booked 1 room there earlier, and we had additional family decide to go on our trip. Hotel is old, but is in the process of being remodeled and upgraded. It is 2 stories with... More

wife and I stayed 2 nights. not a chain. big room with king bed and couch. walls had a few dings, but pretty fresh paint. furniture and everything was clean. bathroom was fine. morning complimentary breakfast was good. It was just fine, but not fancy. we are motorcycle riders, being able to park right outside our room Is a plus.

Picked this hotel as it was one of the cheaper ones in Alpine. I was not disappointed. Compared to all the other low-cost hotels I stayed in on my week-long trip, this one was the best. They have WiFi and it worked great right off the bat. Everything in the room was clean and functioned properly, including the A/C, fridge,... More

Booked through Booking.com at their "bargain rate". This got us a room in the building in the rear of the "Main" building which must have been built when the Buffalo Soldiers were protecting Ft. Davis. It has been recently updated and the bed was comfortable, new carpet but they forgot how to paint as it was peeling off the walls... More

Found this place by accident after checking the chain hotels in the area. Has all the required basics, very comfortable bed, great air conditioner and clean breakfast area with nice variety of offerings. Price was great for a budget and good place for us to begin our camping trip to Big Bend. Good water pressure with ample hot water. Certainly... More

I found the room to be much larger and nicer than I expected. It was clean and modern and exceeded my expectations. The beds were large, comfortable, and had adequate pillows. The interior was clean and well managed.

This town has a good assortment of Independent and Chain Hotels. This one is Clean and undergoing some remodeling with Tile and Carpet. The office is large, and has a large Breakfast area. Highlight? The Texas Shaped Waffle Maker. Impressive. They advertise "Texas Sized Rooms." They were large - but I think "Texas Size" might be a bit much....
