I stayed at this Hotel on 8/15/15. The staff knew it was our anniversary and had a chilled bottle of Champagne waiting for us in our room! The room was immaculate and overlooked Downtown Aiken. Everyone there was extremely kind and accommodating. I also accidentally left my bankcard there and it was safely kept until I could retrieve it. I... More

Our stay here was nice. It is in walking distance of many great restaurants which is nice. The room was very nice just made over and the bed was comfy. The stairwell needs some work and the main halls but the building is old and full of life. Overall I had a good stay especially for the price. There are... More

To start, I clearly understand that this is an aging building and hotel, however, it was a quaint and cozy experience for us. I appreciate the age and architecture. I genuinely recognize that the hotel has made a good effort to care for it's visitors. Our room was very comfortable (though tight, but you can't change historic spaces, right?) and... More

Great customer service at the Hotel Aiken- funny and friendly people work here. They're very helpful too. The lounge and the bar are good watering holes. Unfortunately it's the hotel itself that lets this property down. I get the whole "since 1898" thing and I appreciate that the rates are comparatively low. What I don't understand is why the hotel... One of the worst experiences of my entire life. The TV was small, got zero of the channels a normal hotel would get, and the room smelled like weed. It looked like housekeeping hadn't cleaned my room in months, and nothing worked well at all. The front desk associate in the afternoon was rude, and messing around on their phone... More

"Checked into two rooms (because the first one was disgusting) before checking out ONE HOUR LATER due to the nastiness. Wall paper peeling off the walls, broken refrigerator, stained carpet, plaster coming down from celing and the worst ... large stains on the sheets. Have never felt so unsafe and unclean in a hotel. To top it off ,,, the... More

We stayed two nights during the Masters and couldn't get any hot water out of the showers. The hotel staff came over to look and best they could muster was room tempature water. Evidently the water heaters can't accommodate a fully booked hotel. Next year we will be looking elsewhere.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in some dumps. There is nothing nice about this place. The whole place smells, the room was filthy, the bedding was stained, and the breakfast was disgusting. The staff was completely disconnected. They charge outrageous prices for Masters week. They should be put in jail. To top it off,... More

I am surprised anyone has anything nice to write review wise. This is a dirty disgusting motel that needs a complete redo. They give you two hand towels in your room with a packet of shampoo and tiny soap. The ceilings have water stains and huge cracked areas and collapsing. The Polo Tavern is a white trash bars of locals... More

This place was disgusting. The bathroom and tub/shower was so filthy we couldn't take a shower. No wi-fi, microwave, or frig, even though our reservations said we would have those. Breakfast was a joke. It’s called a hotel it’s actually just a cheap motel. Making another trip to Aiken soon, but will never be staying there again.
