110+ year old Hotel in the small town of Abbeville was a nice place to stay. If you enjoy old, historic places with character, this is your spot. Rooms are nice, all with a private bath. Not glamours, but nice. We bought the "Opera House Package", so we could attend a play next door at another historic place, the Abbeville... More

When an ice storm hit Abbeeville, I decided to call 3 local Inns for lodging. Tatiana was the only one who answered the phone. In this day and age, it perplexes me that innkeepers do not have call forwarding. A missed call = lost revenue. This innkeeper obviously understands this concept. I was the only guest...checkout was any time I... More

Love the Belmont....they have just recently restored the downstairs and it is amazing. Great place to stay the night, walk the square, have dinner and see a play at the Abbeville Opera House..they do packages too! Sunday brunch is wonderful. Smiling faces, beautiful places ! Love it.

If you want hotel chain monotony go there because the century old Belmont Inn has historic character. Located on the town's scenic square, it's just a short walk up Main Street to Abbeville's magnificent old homes (and five Redwood trees!), which are an attraction unto themselves. Take your camera. Belmont Inn's proprietress is a superb chef and has a friendly,... More

I have never stayed at the hotel, but have been to its Sunday Brunch many times. Beautifully elegant classic dining room. The tempting buffet always has an interesting variety of prepared fish, pork and beef dishes, breakfast fixings and a well stocked salad & fruit bar. The dessert table is a bit limited with only a couple sweet choices, but... More

The hostess of Historic Victorian Belmont Inn is one of the very nicest and friendliest persons we have met anywhere in South Carolina. She is a one-woman-show, a suberb chef, helpful, generous, and such a warm person. She made our stay in Abbeville a very special treat. The hotel is located right next to the famous opera house. Parking spaces... More

Only hotel around the town. Smells like an antique and the AC is rooms is lacking. Towels in our room looked like ones your kids would take to camp. When we asked for more we got what looked like a grease rag. The bed felt like sleeping on box springs. Breakfast the next morning was included but ended up making... More

We stayed at the Belmont last night using the play package. Dinner was excellent and our room was charming and comfy. After the play next door, we enjoyed dessert and coffee on the terrace. All was included in our package. We will definitely return!

Room was nice and the food was incredible. Loved the ambiance; we felt like we had almost gone back in time. Right in the heart of Abbeville, within walking distance to Opera House and good restaurants.

We recently stayed at the Belmont Inn for a wedding and frankly I never care to return. The hotel has the ambiance of the historical time period yes, cleanliness no! We were informed after having a discussion with the manager that they did not rent our room out normally because it has no air conditioning. After waking up to what... More
