We love the Old Belmont Inn and it's restaurant (Tatjana's Fine Dining)....Have dinner and see a play at the Abbeville Opera House. There are rooms for those out of towners. The restaurant is open Wed thru Sat in the recently restored downstairs. Sunday brunch is wonderful with a buffet in the upstairs dining room. Wonderful German dishes usually including fish,... We decided to stay at the Belmont Inn last minute when visiting family in Abbeville. I did not have a reservation and simply walked in to the front desk. I apologize greatly for forgetting the wonderful woman's name at the desk. She was wonderful. We booked two rooms at a discounted rate, as it was late in the evening when... More

This is our second visit to the Belmont Inn in Abbeville, SC. The owner, Tatjana, and her staff (Miss Diane and Chase in particular) are super accommodating and welcome you into their home with open arms. The inn is just feet from the opera house where the presentations are top notch and the theater is absolutely beautiful and comfortable with... More

110+ year old Hotel in the small town of Abbeville was a nice place to stay. If you enjoy old, historic places with character, this is your spot. Rooms are nice, all with a private bath. Not glamours, but nice. We bought the "Opera House Package", so we could attend a play next door at another historic place, the Abbeville... More

When an ice storm hit Abbeeville, I decided to call 3 local Inns for lodging. Tatiana was the only one who answered the phone. In this day and age, it perplexes me that innkeepers do not have call forwarding. A missed call = lost revenue. This innkeeper obviously understands this concept. I was the only guest...checkout was any time I... More

If you want hotel chain monotony go there because the century old Belmont Inn has historic character. Located on the town's scenic square, it's just a short walk up Main Street to Abbeville's magnificent old homes (and five Redwood trees!), which are an attraction unto themselves. Take your camera. Belmont Inn's proprietress is a superb chef and has a friendly,... More

I have never stayed at the hotel, but have been to its Sunday Brunch many times. Beautifully elegant classic dining room. The tempting buffet always has an interesting variety of prepared fish, pork and beef dishes, breakfast fixings and a well stocked salad & fruit bar. The dessert table is a bit limited with only a couple sweet choices, but... More

The hostess of Historic Victorian Belmont Inn is one of the very nicest and friendliest persons we have met anywhere in South Carolina. She is a one-woman-show, a suberb chef, helpful, generous, and such a warm person. She made our stay in Abbeville a very special treat. The hotel is located right next to the famous opera house. Parking spaces... More

Only hotel around the town. Smells like an antique and the AC is rooms is lacking. Towels in our room looked like ones your kids would take to camp. When we asked for more we got what looked like a grease rag. The bed felt like sleeping on box springs. Breakfast the next morning was included but ended up making... More
