A truly comfortable country getway. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at the B and B and had a wonderful time. Tom and Sandy are warm, wonderful people who made you feel very welcome in their home. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. more

You could do no better than to stay at the B&B at Walnut Hill! Hosts Tom and Sandy are very hospitable, friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and Brandywine Valley attractions. Sandy can get you the Brandywine Valley sampler coupon book, which gives free or reduced admission ot museums, wine tastings, etc. The room I stayed in was... more

How about spotless, beautiful location, comfortable, affordable, and breakfasts so good you won't believe? Add to that perfect privacy when you want it and two hosts ready to help out in any way they can. We've been staying in B&Bs for years - good ones too. But never before anything like this. Walnut Hill is the gold standard in living... more

My sister (from Massachusetts) and I (from Maryland) had planned a trip to see Longwood and Winterthur. Independently we bothe bicked Walnut hill as being the most satifyying to our tastes. We could not have made a better choice. The hosts, Tom and Sandy, were out of town and we were greeted by their inn-sitter, Ann. Her welcome immediately made... more

Also centrally located to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and other attractions. Definitely plan to go back... more

Set in a very charming backwoods location roughly 15 minutes from Longwood Gardens. Tom and Sandy were excellent hosts, and were particularly helpful in showing us the best route to Longwood and pointing us to things in which we would be particularly interested (such as the orchid sale). Breakfast was wonderful; everything was prepared from scratch, and in particular the... more

Our host Sandy and Tom Mills were the embodiment of hospitality. I didn't think I needed a vacation, but after being catered to at Walnut Hill, I am both relaxed and energized. Sandy's breakfast's were tasty, fresh and presented beautifully. A bird's eye view of feeders and a gorgeous meadow and creek greeted us each morning. Tom helped us with... more
