The front counter staffer was very friendly and helpful, with a nice indoor pool, and quick service. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean. The carpet in the room was a deep green and didn't immediately show any cleanliness issues, but a half-hour of our 9 month old toddling and crawling around revealed a black, greasy dirt that... more

I just spent three days at the La Quinta and we had a great time. I was a bit concerned because of some of the negative reviews I had read, but everything was fine. We had a king size bed room on the main floor. Everything was clean and in order. The fridge and micro are behind the doors in... more

This place was a complete and total rip-off, and surely the most disgustingly dirty hotel in which I have ever stayed. We booked through Priceline using a 2.5 stars filter. This might qualify for 0.5 stars...I don't know why La Quinta doesn't pull the franchise rights on this operator- because this is really, really bad. Do yourself a favor and... more

This hotel is dated (in a bad way), smelly, dank, gross, smelly (did I say that already), beat-up, run-down and disgusting. Just keep driving! Even if you can't get a hotel in Ashland, don't stay here. It's not located in downtown Ashland, and that's the whole reason to stay in Ashland. If you're just passing though, go onto the next... more

I tried four different rooms at the La Quinta. Each reeked either of stale, ancient cigarette smoke or of something that smelled a lot like B.O., except that it never went away. I finally, on try number 4, accepted B.O. over smoke, opened the window and went out for the afternoon and evening. The smell was just as gross when... more

We just stayed at La Quinta in early May, and we got 2 rooms. One with the kitchenette, one without. We got a SCREAMING rate from Expedia (only $70/night for the suite) so maybe I would feel differently it we'd paid rack rates during high season. We stay at lots of La Quinta/Comfort or Sleep Inns/Holiday Inn Express, you know,... more

We often stay in suite hotels with kitchens so that we can relax and have a few meals in our room. Until now, this strategy has worked well for us. So when we made a reservation for such a room at this hotel, we believed the promises about a furnished kitchen and separate living area. We were not prepared for... more

I do believe you get what you pay for. We chose La Quinta because we had stayed at one in Ventura for the same price and we were very impressed. It was updated and very clean. This hotel, in Ashland was clean but seemed very old. The first room we were given had a very odd smell so we asked... more

Worn and dated. HOT room, took hours to cool it down.......when we complained the response was "we have an energy policy and are just trying to do our part" Yeah, at the customer's expense ! Frayed and stained carpeting, rough patches on doors........looks 20 years old. Would never stay here again more

I was travelling with a co-worker who had stayed here before and suggested we stop at this property. The front desk staff was very, very nice and quite chatty. The room was a bit bare but the bed was wonderful! I don't know what kind of mattress was on the bed, but I loved it. more
