We have stayed at this beautiful, charming, clean and comfortable B&B about a dozen times. This was our second stay under the new management and we feel compelled to update a previous review. All the above adjectives still apply so the B&B will continue to be our inn of choice. What we didn't like was the inn keeper. She had... More

We had not been to the McCall House for many years, having tried a number of other places on our annual trips to Ashland. But it's hard to beat the McCall for its food, comfort, friendliness and location. The breakfast is always a creative but tasty surprise, different each day, with appropriate portions (i.e., not huge, but enough to be... More

McCall House is steps from Ashland's Main Street and the various theaters just up the hill. The ambience and rooms are quite nice, well decorated, and comfortable. But the service is just a step above what you hope to have. When I asked about a spot to order a sandwich before a performance, the concierge printed a city map and... More

We were so happy to spend time again at the McCall House after a long hiatus....a true home away from home. Stellar breakfast and service and our stay was even better than we remembered. There have been some changes in management of the house and the new inn keeper, Pamela ,could not have been more friendly and helpful--- especially with... More

We stayed two nights at this charming B&B in June. We stayed in the Captain and Lizzi guestroom. The room was big and comfortable. The only minor thing to take into consideration is that the room is on the main floor right across the dining room. This means there is some foot traffic/ noise. Not enough to be an issue,... More

We have had the privilege of staying at the McCall house on half a dozen occasions over the past 4 years. The house again was impeccable. The new Inn Keeper, Pamela is engaging and delightful with the guests. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The gourmet breakfasts are fabulous and plentiful. We stayed on the sleeping porch. A very... More

We have just returned from our eighth consecutive summer visit of more than a week to McCall House in Ashland and are very sorry to say that we were very disappointed. The house is still lovely, but some of the touches that made it the top rated B&B in Ashland are missing. The ironed pillow cases, the evening bed turn... More

Perfect location--about a 3-5 minute walk to the theaters (300 hundred yards). We stayed in the Phyllis Courtney room, a quiet and comfortable main floor room overlooking the back of the property. Felt a little close to the office area, but after 5:00 when the staff leave it was not a problem. Stairs to the 2nd floor rooms are steep,... More

The very best feature of the McCall House is the location. Walking distance to restaurants, Lithia Park, the theatres, Starbucks, etc. We stayed in the Carriage House South room, which was perfect for my adult daughter and myself. She had her own "cubby" twin bed tucked under the staircase. We appreciated the small in-room refrigerator and the free wi-fi. The... More

The McCall House was almost fully booked when we made reservations for one night in May. The home is beautifully restored and spotlessly clean. It is easy walking distance to the theater, Lithia Park, and most restaurants, yet very quiet a block off the main street. Only a few rooms are on the main floor, so be sure you can... More
