The website stated a price for "up to 3 guests". We were billed an extra $50 for third guest on my credit card. I did not know about the charge until they mailed my receipt. It was too late to make other plans or we would have. We also ended up with some bites that looked suspiciously like flea bites.... more

We came to Ashland to attend the Shakespearean Festival for the 1st time. It was wonderful. 2 blocks from the theaters, the Cowslip Belle (named for one the flowers named in Shakespeare's plays) was perfect to park the car for three days and walk to everything. We had the upstairs room in the Carriage House. The room felt new and... more

Cowslip's Belle is a very lovely b&b in a great location, just a couple blocks to the Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park and downtown Ashland. Jon and Carmen are great hosts and the food is terrific! We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can. more

Stayed 2 nights in quiet residential neighborhood (no road noise from Main St.), enjoyed location and room as well as use of common room in main Craftman style home furnished with comfortable seating, free computer use, complimentary hot beverages and cookies. Easy walk to downtown area for restaurants and theatre. Breakfast is served to you with no choices. Typ. American... more

Ashland is a special place and Cowslip's Belle B&B makes our twice-yearly trips like coming home. Long-time owners Jon & Carmen are wonderful hosts & great cooks. We look forward to breakfasts not just for the ample offerings, but for the company of congenial and intelligent fellow guests. We particularly like the townhouse suites, complete with kitchens and private fireplaces.... more

In business 25 years, under the same owners, we highly recommend Cowslip’s Belle as our favorite Bed and Breakfast! In the last 30 years we have stayed in a variety locations including hotels, motels and other B & B’s before discovering Cowslip’s Belle. This B & B is conveniently located but three blocks from the Shakespeare Festival, the downtown shops... more

We just spent 5 nights at Cowslip Belle and found it a great B&B. The rooms were comfortable and charming, they had a peaceful and relaxing yard and the proprietors were great hosts. To top it all off they made a wonderful breakfast every morning. In addition to being helpful with restaurant and other recommendations, the hosts were flexible and... more

This is a prime location for a gentle walk to the theatre. The innkeepers are warm upon arrival and eager to please and often use their Innkeeper clout to make last minute dinner restaurants. They are delightful people who enjoy the lively breakfast discussion and often join guests for engaging play reviews or book reviews or travel tips as they,... more

We've been staying at Cowslip's almost since we started coming to Ashland and have occasionally had to stay elsewhere when they were full. We always come back! The breakfasts are wonderful and varied with home-made muffins, fresh fruit, great coffee, and then of course - the main course! My favorites are the dutch babies but their waffles with home made... more

My husband and I have been staying at the Cowslip's Belle B&B twice a year for over 20 years. The rooms are well appointed without being fussy and the breakfasts are delicious (juice, fruit, pastries, and an egg entree or waffles/pancakes). Jon and Carmen Reinhardt have created an atmosphere of convivial and interesting conversation at the breakfast table where we... more
